sub_urbane was formed in Newcastle, Australia in 1995 by Andrew Bramble and brothers Samuel and Daniel Russell, just in time to make no discernible impact whatsoever on Summer of Hate 95/96.

Bringing an incoherent onslaught of odd sounding hardcore and breakbeat to the Bloody Fist collective, sub_urbane was a dubious mainstay of the Newcastle live scene throughout the late nineties. 

Sucked into an interdimensional vortex in 1999, sub_urbane has since existed in a parallel universe where time is non-linear and the millennium bug was real.

Thanks to advances in poly-dimensional communication parallel-universe Brian Eno was finally able to solve the millennium bug. In 2025 the first corrupted transmissions from sub_urbane's emergency beacon were received.

These messages contained instructions to permit interdimensional transfer of new sub_urbane tracks* using an archived copy of Napster and a smart toaster hooked up to an OEM soundblaster 16.

*May cause nausea and increase the effects of alcohol. If affected do not drive a motor vehicle or operate heavy machinery.
