Snoozing the Music from Plants C1 is a 4-track EP that explores the frontier of post-digital music creation, where organic, biological inputs merge with artificial intelligence under the careful guidance of human curation. This project serves as a practical application of the Sergej Snooze current research. analyzing the intersection of objective data, technical execution, and emergent aesthetic patterns.

The Creative Process: A Fusion of Three Intelligences. This EP is a genuine act of co-creation involving three distinct stages of intelligence:

The Bio-Generated Signal (Nature as Input): The entire foundation of this EP began with the raw, bio-generated electrical signals captured directly from a plant. This original sound, recorded as an audio sample ("Music from Plants"), provides the organic, evolving lead melody and core timbre that drives all four tracks. It is the initial, non-human data input.
The AI Interpreter (The Socio-Technical System): The raw plant signal was fed into Suno AI, a sophisticated generative music platform.

The Human Curator (The Emergent Pattern Analyzer): The crucial final—and most time-consuming—step was human curation. From dozens of AI-generated iterations and extensions, the best four tracks were selected based on their ability to elicit the desired output that suits Sergej Snooze public appearance in terms of music expression  This highlights a key finding: in a post-digital world, human selection and curation are as vital to the creative process as the initial generation of the music itself.

A Research-Driven Release
Ultimately, Snoozing the Music from Plants C1 is not just a collection of songs; it is a sonic experiment demonstrating that meaningful, impactful art emerges from the dynamic interplay between biological life, powerful algorithms, and critical human decision-making.

Hammered by Pete Tong on BBC Radio1 and loved by djs like Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Adriatique and Guy Gerber, ‘Numero 5’ by the Italian dj and producer Gianluca Pegoiani was surely one of the underground tracks of 2020. 
If we were excited to present the instrumental cut, now we are even more excited to announce the vocal version by Ann Saunderson. 
Ann has written the song in a world of changes and tragedies. She comments ‘More and more incidents happened where police vs people falling victim to mistaken identities, shootings in schools, natural disasters happened around the world, and i could see 'us' being in for a "Rough Ride" with everything going on, but with faith and a little hope we can get through this’.
Born into a musical family Ann Saunderson began her musical journey at the age of 17, her voice was her guide and music was in her soul. She moved to London in 1987 where met the future husband and musical partner Kevin Saunderson. She became vocalist of the Kaos and The Reese Project and managed to co-write and perform background  vocals on Kevin’s three Inner City albums.  Ann has also co-written with producers such as Juan Atkins, Dave Lee aka Joey Negro, Slam, Agoria and Octave One for the anthem “Blackwater”,  selling over 1 million combined copies worldwide.

A phuturistic Anthem for tomorrow that draws on the legacy of the past and propelled into the stratosphere.  The full package includes also some hot remixes !
Canadian house music producer Nick Holder, owner of DNH Records teams up with Martino Lozej and Tyrone Solomon for a Trackheadz Remix. A fantastic vocal house version with warm keys and a super Chicago deep bassline. Pure class
The mysterious artist who has brought us the Creature white label series delivers an hypnotic remix made of twisted minimalist drums and blissful melodies.
Jon Dixon, one of Detroit's best musicians,  part of the famous Underground Resistance label and of the Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Timeline collectives, gives us an epic mix, bridging the gap between various styles of music and electronica to create something that moves towards the future.
