Locus Sound signals the end of a typically busy year for the label with their annual compilation! Like it's predecessors, Vol. 4 features many artists familiar to the label plus much needed new talent that we can expect to return to the imprint next year. We're not just limited to the average dubstep material either, as Locus Sound reflect their multi-genre ambitions throughout fifteen boundary pushing tracks. However you know me, it's all about the deep 140 here at H&B which is why I have the pleasure of presenting Delta's rough 'n tough, 'Potion Delight'.

I think it's safe to say that Substrada's consistent work over the last couple of years hasn't gone unnoticed. Enjoying releases on the likes of Locus Sound, Infernal Sounds and Dread Or Dead, the Belgian producer has become one of the more prolific in the genre and the latest imprint to recognise his excellence is FatKidOnFire, who offer him a spot on the vinyl exclusive branch of their catalogue. As the only record of it's kind to come from FatKidOnFire this year, Substrada not only demonstrates his distinctive sound, but also joins up with two similarly talented producers, 11th Hour and Kusmo. However today I have the pleasure of presenting one of Substrada's anticipated solo cuts, 'Predator Flow'.

Teffa pioneers uncharted 140 dungeons in his triple-hitting ‘Toastin’ EP, marking his Albion Collective debut.

Title track, ‘Toastin’, rallies a submersive procession through contemporary dubstep, adorned with golden-age echoes and diamond-edge percussion. Descending into the B-side’s oubliette, ‘Luna’ barks, skanks and growls around subterranean temple walls, where dubbed-out lights and spacious textures emancipate the dance. ‘Gelato’ draws it all back, stalwart sub-bass leading heads down while strict kick-and-snare combos strengthen the sway.

Rarely retracing his steps, architect Teffa builds new tapestries into each vinyl revolution, evolving the vibe across every slice of his debut ‘Toastin’ EP on Albion Collective. Regarding second drops… good things come to those who wait.
