Roman producer Loorenzo BITW (@lorenzobitw) continues the Pantea journey. Back in May 2021 Lorenzo BITW released his album “Pantea.” The concept was a love letter to his country and told the story of modern Italy. Through collaborations with Italian artists and producers he explored the melting pot of cultures and sounds Italy has now become. On “Pantea 22” Lorenzo dig’s deeper into his artistry by taking instrumentals from the original album & working with rising Italian vocalists to create a whole new body of work. Further shining a light on what Italy has to offer.

The first single is “Fiori Di Loto '' which means Lotus Flower features LaHasna (@hasna-doubiani) an independent musician, artist, performer , born and raised in Italy, originally from Morocco now based in Milan. Refusing to be boxed in by a genre she describes her music as Sexytriste which is mentioned in “Fiori Di Loto”; she sings “Babe Voice, Babe Energy, Sexytriste” an embodiment of her sound & style. She’s already captured the attention of Italy’s MTV and Lorenzo BITW has co-signed her as one to watch. The two work effortlessly on this track making it the perfect way to kick of “Pantea 22”

Pl4net Dust is a force to be reckoned with! This Parisian producer has been taking the world by storm with his refined ‘Global’ music, which he showcases in his dance-floor-ready debut release via Wile Out called ‘Solid Matter EP’ featuring ‘Cynthia’, a young classically trained singer/songwriter from Paris. Together, they create pure magic for our ears.

This five track EP takes the listener on a journey through sound & emotion, the carefully crafted setlist spotlights this journey starting off with the intro track ‘Kalua’. This dub track consists of progressive piano chords layered over UK funky drums and a load-bearing bassline to give the song a nice groove to get ya ready for the next track; ‘Fire Game’ which highlights Cynthia’s soulful vocals, setting us up for a deep groove with a melancholic emotional vibe. Next is ‘I Know You’, here Cynthia engages us with her clear message of surprise, gearing the listener up for the beat to drop and set off the dancefloor into a frenzy of ‘Global’ sounds. Next up is ‘That Song’, which brings in a more subtle chord progression sound and heavier drum groove in contrast to Cynthia’s sharp vocals, this song is that song. Last but not least, we finish off strong with ‘Up 2 You’, here Cynthia showcases her vocal range and sets the vibe with this marimba-driven masterpiece, bringing the EP to a masterful close with an insight of what to expect next from these two amazing artists.

Together, both Pl4net Dust and Cynthia, have created a work of art and have set the bar high for what’s to come from the new influx of ‘Uk Funky’ producers creating the next wave of ‘Global’ music.

PJ: Tell us about this mix & where you want it to take people.
M: I want my music to make people feel something. If it makes them dance, it makes them dance. If it makes them cry, even better. Whether it touches the soul, the mind or just the feet, as long as you feel the rhythm, I’m happy.
PJ: How do you feel this time away from nightlife will impact our industry in the future?
M: I honestly think it will make everyone way more appreciative of all the people who work in the nightlife and provide entertainment that we have ALL taken for granted for the longest time. Clubbing through a screen sucks ass. You’re just drunk, half naked in your living room dancing all alone: nobody aspires to that! The folks are definitely hungry AF for a good rave. Let’s get back to normal asap pleeeease!! 
PJ: Your IG bio says “you don’t pop xanax anymore.” Can we ask why?
M: Like many other Gen Z, I went through a xanny phase that really fucked me up. Around 2016-17, benzos, Xanax more precisely, were very popular and new to the “scene”. I was hooked for a year or so and can barely tell you what was happening as chewing bars was the essential step of morning and bedtime routine. I can not pinpoint why I was so attracted to this drug, but I was and maybe still am. Although, I was young and still am, at least now I am aware that outrunning reality will not erase the pain and that it will surely catch up eventually. Yet, I would be lying if I said that numbing was not fun. I’m just glad that I got out of that dark ass downward spiral. The reason I have it in my bio is because I used to publicly embarrass myself alot (like everyone knew that I was a fiend); so I have to let everyone know that I’m not that girl anymore. I’m a different kind of mess now, a hotter mess 💅🏾
