Lorenzo Feliciati and Dominique Vantomme met for the first time in Brussels where both of them lived for a couple of years.

Ever since their first interaction, the chemistry between the counterparts were established, music spoke to them in different tongues, more than words, furthermore their friendship grew with their ongoing recording sessions that they were involved in, which took place in Jet Studio-Bruxelles which is managed/operated by Rudy Coclet.

"Fake" is the result of this wonderful veteran collaboration.
Adding magical touches to this project are Cuong Vu, Eraldo Bernocchi and DJ skizo.

Dominique has a rich musical history having played with many prolific musicians from across the globe on a wide spectrum of genres/sounds, starting from ambient to jazz to drum n bass. Cuong vu needs no introduction, he is the trumpet player in the prolific Pat Matheny big band and also a leader in his own quartet (not to forget his work with rarenoise records) adding ingredients to this already strong concoction is Eraldo Bernocchi as a guest in one of the songs, where he lends his expertise with electronic percussion. As    a    child    Barend    got    a    book    for    his    birthday    about    the    underwater    world    that    made    a    great    impression    on    him.    Fantasying    about    each    of    the    fish    that    he    saw    on    the    pictures.    This    is    what    inspired    him    to    make    this    album.It    is    hard    to    pigeonhole    the    music    of    this    album.    Elements    from    fusion,    funk,    world    music,    70s    prog    and    electronic    music    are    combined    in    an    unique    style.        The    album    contains    ten    songs    that    take    you    on    a    musical    trip.Barend    playsalmost    all    instruments    besides    the    drums    himself    on    this    album.    Besides    bass    and    guitar    these    also    include    more    exotic    instruments    like    sitar    and    fretless    guitar.        Barend’s    bass    hero    and    famous    American    bass    player    Michael    Manringplays    fretless    bass    on    the    song    Golden    Maseer.    Besides    this    there    are    four    guest    drummers,    a    flute    player    and    some    voices    by    guest    musicians.

Moral Collapse is an old school extreme metal project founded in 2020 by N Arun (label head of Subcontinental Records) alongside Hannes Grossmann (ex Necrophagist, Obscura, Blotted science) and Sudarshan Mankad.

2023 sees the band release their follow up effort "Divine Prosthetics" to their critically acclaimed debut album. This album furthers their experimentation into the avant-garde side of musicianship, with elaborate dark ambient passages with free improvisations.

BIOGRAPHY:
Rajesh Mehta is an award-winning Indian-American trumpet innovator and composer who has innovated several hybrid trumpets including the “DRUMPET” in Amsterdam and the microtonal “NAGA PHOENIX TRUMPET” in Singapore. Mehta graduated from M.I.T. in Humanities and Engineering (with studies at U.C. Berkeley) in 1986. As a Senior Creative Arts Fellow of the American Institute of Indian Studies, he founded the innovative music production platform "ORKA-M" in Chennai in 2005-06, which was greatly influenced by his research on and musical collaboration with South Indian temple musicians. 

 
ALBUM INFORMATION
Malagasy Breath CD concept © Rajesh Mehta 2022 was created using a process of virtual exchanges via internet video calls and Individual recordings made by each musician in Hamburg, Berlin and Duisburg, Germany in 2022. The individual tracks were built into an architecture with the excerpts of the indri lemur songs as the foundation.
