Drum and Bass :  Get Down and Go Hard

‘Kwizma” is the alias and brainchild of Netherlands-based Christian Engelen. 

His rumbling bass and cutting edge sound design have captivated the creative minds of people from every corner of the globe. He has worked alongside widely acclaimed world-touring DJ’s such as Truth, N-Type, and Nomine (to name a few), as well as provided music for Indy video game developers, content creators, and dancers. 

He now has releases on renowned imprints such as Deep, Dark & Dangerous,  UK’s iconic ’FatKidOnFire,’ and Texas’ home grown ‘Silent Motion Records.’ With interviews and coverage from LA’s ‘Bassrush’ and San Diego-based clothing label ‘Dataset’, it’s no wonder he’s peaked the interest of so many. His next release will be on his very own record label ‘Kuro Records’, with which he holds the title of Founder together with two other legends in the scene, Leon Switch and Kelly Dean. Both of which have joined him in creating a powerful trio known as NōTaN.

DJ Andy & Bass Music Academy presents: “RISE OF BRASIL” – ‘The New DnB Generation’ Part 2 brings that same energy pushing forward with modern production values. To a new generation of DJs and selectors, with five dancefloor-focused cuts. 

From the very first note, Nasz setting the tone with an atmosphere that is both euphoric and hazy, “Believe” crafts an immersive listening experience from the very first note. Switching gears, “Flute” by The Analyst introduces a refreshing contrast. DJ Realistic’s “Biological Hazard” delivers an electrifying blend of bright, upbeat techy sounds that push the boundaries of his ever-evolving style. Showcasing his fearless approach to sonic experimentation while staying true to the vibrant sound that has defined his artistic journey. 

Lastly, “This Is All Your Fault” by dive opens with alluring light sonic tones before erupting into the old school Jungle with a feral energy. The drop is nothing short of explosive: sinister, unrelenting, and deeply cathartic. Dive’s production is both dark and clean, a testament to his mastery of production. 

Across these releases, the artists collectively showcase the emotional range and creative ambition driving the new wave of drum & bass. From the euphoric to the menacing, the cinematic to the experimental, bold, immersive, and charged with intention.

Bogtrotter Bio
The Minneapolis native BogTroTTeR has set roots in Denver and has been melting crowds throughout United States, Australia, and Canada since 2009. Through complex percussions and growling rhythms, BogTroTTeR’s diverse collage of original compositions challenges the scope of modern day psychedelic bass music. His sound pushes the limits through his own unique mixture of glitch-hop, breakbeats, and psy-bass with a dark, swampy twist. Murky bass lines and terrestrial synthesizers are just a few things contributing to the lustrous sound field amalgamated by BogTroTTeR.

He has quickly become a favorite at festivals such as Infrasound, Lucidity and last years’ Tipper and Friends’ Full Moon Gathering; inspiring a myriad of listeners to tread deep into his sound field, united by lustrous melodies.
