shoutout to this song for not just being my longest song to date, but the song i’ve worked on the longest to date

i started this in march when i was extremely inspired by sweet trip’s velocity:design:comfort album and wanted to see if could give my take on it all while retaining my pop/chiptune elements i typically turn to.

i also wanted to encapsulate the kind of wonder i or someone else gets while listening to lush and tranquil music while staring out the window of a train or something while also keeping some cyber and fantasy sensebilities to the whole aesthetic.

points of inspiration for the last part include sitting on-top of those rainbow looking pieces of data in summer wars and the trams in the wi-fi plaza of pokemon platinum (only real ones remember 😔)

another reason the song sounds as glitchy and is as multi-phased as it is is because im uhhhhhh incredibly anxious. it's very hard to stick with an idea for a short time, let alone for a whole song and in the early to mid parts of making this i was as aware of this as i've ever been. that's why no 2 parts sound exactly the same but i still think they all fit together. but if you don't that's cool too.

final notes i guess is that this is (probably) the first and last time im ever gonna make a song like this
