The idea of robots taking over the planet was in the past a Sci Fi movie driven concept – think terminator. 
Fast Forward 25 years and we are on the cusp of robotic automation taking over, in fact AI / machine learning / automated society and super smart robots are closer than you and I might think.  
It is crazy what is happening with technology. I don’t want to be the voice of doom and gloom but what was Sci Fi so many years ago is in fact reality now. 
This record is a bit of fun with a serious back story. 
I’m not expecting terminator style robots to come crashing through my door any time soon , but the reality of our technology is that the capability is there…

A few weeks of traveling through the UK, Germany, Cyprus and Romania led to the creation of the tracks comprising this EP, titled ”EXO MESA”. 
During the trip, Varøsian pushed himself to let go of what he knows and started exploring the world with new and unbiased eyes–for life to give him a taste of trying new things. 

”EXO MESA” is based on the usual mesa exo, which translates to inside out. Varøsian faced an internal battle (mesa) when deciding on his type of sound, being pulled into various directions (exo) of the sub-genres within techno. By changing the position of the words he allowed the outside to go inwards and followed what felt right.

The EP opens with Daisy Chain, a reference to how things can be connected in a specific order, creating a unique result. In music productions this could be the hardware, in life events it could be the components of a memorable rave.

In Ash In My Coffee the mood gets slightly darker. It is not as carefree as the opening track, there is more awareness to it. Signifying the desire to stay calm during unpleasant events, as the unpleasantness doesn't affect the outcome. It's a metaphor for letting things, and people, be. As you have no actual influence on the consequences. This translates to Varøsian giving the people in his life more space to be their unique selves. Whenever they do something that delivers them happiness, it will equally give Varøsian happiness.

Grind unifies this EP, resembling the constant grind to endure, evolve and achieve. An even darker vibe throughout this track. A reminder that life is temporary and up to all of us to navigate at our own pace.
