Jūra Elena Šedytė is composer, vocalist and improviser. Focusing on interaction of voice and electronics, human psychology, social behavior, transdisciplinary creative projects and improvisation moves her to constantly expand the field of her approach and methods in composing and performing music.

The freshest realization of X/TENSIONS for voice and electronics has been performed by Jūra Elena Šedytė and her creative partner Ieva Rižė. In this EP the intangible, invisible and always very unique human instrument - the voice - flourish in the world of objects and symbols, created by two artists. The subtle verbal and instrumental expression metamorphosis, rhythm and vibrations layered with visual materials are born and creates the parallel of the real world. The extension of the body through the voice creates tension in the processes of sound embodiment.

In 2022, Osàre! Editions founder Elena Colombi approached artists and musicians with a prompt: Every body, everyone needs love to flourish. In her book The Will to Change, the eminent author and social activist bell hooks invites men to excavate their innermost selves, challenging the way that patriarchal society limits their capacity for intimacy, tenderness, care and emotion. As hooks lays out, feminist thought and work requires the collective participation of all genders in order to realise a liberated world. How can we imagine cross-gender solidarity through music and art? And how can we tell sonic stories that facilitate our full potential as desiring beings? These are the questions that The Male Body Will Be Next starts out from.

The title of the record draws connections between hooks' writing, a film by Rebecca Salvadori and Peter de Potter's stunning photo series of the same name. In de Potter and Salvadori's depictions, men's bodies appear as vulnerable, naked and exposed.

Divided into two parts, the first instalment of The Male Body Will Be Next hinges on colliding energies – the melding of club dance floors and haunting ambient textures, agile techno and noisy experimentation.

'The sun on my skin… it’s so warm and gentle,’ speak-sings Olivia Salvadori on ‘Su Di Te M’Infrango’, visualising utopias. Laurel Halo crafts a dreamscape spun from golden threads of synth and strings. Pensive and reflective, Ben Bertrand’s bass clarinet roams searchingly, its piercing tonality full of longing. Yet, in between these lucid, cinematic passages and spoken word, The Male Body Will Be Next finds space to dance together. Moving in fervent, rhythmic patterns, Sepehr’s ‘Divooneh’ pivots between tension and release. Filmmaker unleashes a wave of energy and The Spy delivers a potent take on vintage electro, the track title hinting at the double-bind of gendered expectations. Propelled between these eclectic styles, the record encapsulates the full spectrum of sonic expression.

Oberton is a duo of Eldar Mukhomedzyanov and Alexei Vainer whose sound is based on contrast of groovy electronic beats and calling for rethinking poetry. 

«Светотень» EP ('chiaroscuro') tells about fear, about inner fight between light and darkness. «Именно ты» ('Exactly You') - challenge, forcing strength, a look into the very center of the abyss, voice out loud to yourself, looking into the reflection, that you are ready to be the light as much as you can.

"As I walk between the shadows I can see my full light" is the mantra and story Anna Vs June tells on "Ersi", her debut on Subject To Restrictions Discs. It is about personal thoughts and experiences on topics like faith and motherhood. Beginning with "As I Walk" as the clumsy state of any beginning, it continues with "Between The Shadows" where Anna relives her years as a teenager. Continuing the narrative with "I Can See", we listen to what it was like to grow up, finally ending with the yearning acceptance of the unknown on "My Full Light". Anna Vs June's musical language is based on her exploration of traditional Greek music, which she learns and whose characteristics she reinterprets in her own production. This album was produced in Anna's studio in Athens during the months of lockdown.

Anna Vs June is the solo project of Anna Papaioannou, a musician and producer who enjoys playing with machines in her room in the heart of Athens. Her sound aims to capture the balance between electronic and traditional music by also incorporating Eastern and Western music references. For her music production, she travelled to remote rural villages and recorded songs by locals while practising microtonal gestures with her own voice. Anna released her debut album Prosper Easter in 2020 and has been featured on compilations by labels such as Invisible Inc, Osàre! Editions as well as on the "Elsewhere" series curated by soFa.
