Inauguramos nuestra serie de podcasts con Fontana, DJ y productor radicado en Ciudad de México, y también el primer artista en firmar un lanzamiento con BRUMA.

Este set no busca llamar la atención con trucos. Es una hora de techno directo, preciso y denso. Una selección que refleja su forma de entender el ritmo, el espacio y la energía en la pista. Sin apuro, sin concesiones. 

Además de publicar EPs, en BRUMA queremos dar espacio al trabajo como DJs de los/las artistas que invitamos. Este podcast es una forma de conocer más de cerca su lenguaje, su criterio, su forma de construir momentos.

 El 8 de agosto sale Introspective, su EP debut.

manteniendo una estética más genuina y old school en sus presentaciones.

Sus influencias musicales vienen desde lo mas oscuro e hipnótico de Lotus Eater (Rrose-Lucy), vril, Michal Jablonski, karenn, hasta lo mas groove y elegante de Mathew Jonson y Neil lanstrumm, lo que termina definiendo su sonido como único y singular.

SAPP is a local figure on Wrocław’s electronic scene, drawing inspiration from raw techno and industrial sounds. His sets are driven by massive, hypnotic basslines that lock the dancefloor into a relentless groove. He began his journey at the legendary Baubar and has since performed at iconic venues such as Transformator, Ciało, and Wyspa Tamka. As the initiator of DYM and Tsunami Boat, he has brought fresh energy to the local scene. Today, SAPP continues to shape Wrocław’s underground with music production, uncompromising selections and a passion for powerful, high-intensity performance.

Jonas Xenon is a DJ and Producer based in Berlin, Germany. His mind is wrapped around the darker side of the music spectrum. His love for hypnotic patterns and restless grooves drove him into the depths of techno production. As an artist with a drum and bass background you can still hear and feel the closeness to his roots. Techno with the little pinch of oldschool aesthetic fused together into a refreshing whole.

It's probably no exaggeration to say that the abstract, entertainingly confusing, James Holden-esque sound was quint-essential and defining for many of us when Border Community was founded and for a long time afterwards. The seemingly disordered, but intentionally controlled chaos permeated all the so-called underground music at that time and gave a boost to gigantic talents. This was also the case with two Swissmen, Mikro Loko and Ripperton as Lazy Fat People, put the best pieces of their careers on the table: the "Big City / Dark Water" EP was one of the most sold vinyl on the label. The track called "Dark Water" was an ultimate secret weapon of any James Holden performance around that time, he often opened his DJ sets with this one. Murky, chaotic, aggressive, vehement - everything that I love about this period of the Border Community sound.
Made exclusively for my "Treadwheel 02" mix, I strengthened things with vast grooves and reconstructed the whole track with a sudden mood switch after the breakdown. I think it's the perfect way saying goodbye to the summer and soon getting ready for colder times.
