The mighty Dope Ammo has been brought on board to deliver his flip on the stems and he's produced a monster. Eesah's melodies still power the track, but Mr Ammo has melded them with extra stomping screwface bass and rolling, break-layered drums. Where the original was slick, cool and stripped-back, this version takes things a couple notches more brutal.


This is only the first step of CFG Music's journey under Sublow Hz's guidance. The brand's already established their Caribbean-UK connection and showcased multiple styles of drum 'n' bass, but this is just the beginning of the journey.

If you've been paying attention to the underground of the drum 'n' bass scene, you'll have probably noticed the name Marxy popping up all over the place.


You'll have seen him on Centralizin Sounds and Breakin Science line-ups, on Code Red and Centreforce radio, guesting on Kool FM, rinsing out raves for brands like Let It Roll and Epidemik, and a lot more.


And, even though Marxy's still a teenager, this success has been on the cards for a while. After all, he started deejaying at ten years old. He started production at thirteen. And, let's be clear, we're not talking about some hobbyist level thing. Marxy's been putting in the graft and his level of skill speaks for itself.


With supportive parents willing to help him navigate the admin side of things, Marxy has been able to grab every opportunity presented with both hands. He firmly established his credentials when he was the highest ranked DnB deejay in 2022's national Mix Master competition, winning him five grand's worth of kit and a booking alongside legends like Nicky Blackmarket and the Rat Pack.


His well-honed technical skills as a deejay allow him to read and tailor his sets to each crowd, adding touches of liquid and jungle to the high-impact jump-up that makes up the core of his style.


Now, as his booking diary becomes every-more rammed and his release schedule begins to grow, Marxy is about to level up once again. His natural talent, work ethic and passion are evident on every set and every tune he produces, and the rapid organic expansion of his popularity tells its own story. And, remember, he's done all this before he's old enough to legally drink.


Marxy has only just scratched the surface of what his music career has in store for him. We're about to see a next-generation DnB leader step into the spotlight.

Flying the flag, as always, for the Caribbean-UK connection that helped lay the foundations for jungle in the first place, CFG Music have delivered another dancehall banger reconfigured for 2025 drum 'n' bass raving.


This time, the pioneering, international chart-busting artist Mad Cobra – one of the first people to popularise authentic dancehall in the US – makes his first appearance on an official jungle DnB release. His no-compromise, street-wisdom single 'Chatty Mouth' dropped in 2023 on the Yard Style label, and it's about to find a whole new group of fans.


Rising talent Dr Wotson is on the buttons for the remix, stripping the production back to the bare essentials with sub-bass, rolling breaks and Mad Cobra's vocals taking centre stage. Keeping the vibe and message of the original intact, this is a remix that's going to hit hard for junglists, DnB heads, and reggae dancehall fans alike.


So, expect to hear this remix echoing around parties everywhere across the genre spectrum. Once more, on CFG Music, certified reggae talent combines with up-to-the-minute drum 'n' bass artistry to create something exceptional. This is one for aficionados and selectors alike.

CFG MUSIC – SUBLOW HZ & TITAN K – THE BAYOU TITLE THEME


Multi-genre music production duo Sublow Hz have teamed up with Titan K to create a heart-pumping, adrenaline-inducing electronic behemoth of a tune as the title track for Taneli Mustonen and Brad Watson's 2025 horror movie 'The Bayou'.


Reflecting the shallow-breathing, lurking-danger tension of the film, the track opens with militantly-insistent drums and just-off-kilter chords, before pitching headlong into a murky pool of heavy dubstep bass and disconcerting electric guitar sample manipulations.


Treading the line between animalistic savagery and technological threat, this is a piece that establishes the tone and storytelling vision of 'The Bayou' perfectly, blending with the atmosphere of Segun Akinola's original score.


And, with these producers' history of creating all kinds of electronic dance music, no surprise that it functions as a bass-heavy club banger as well. With that level of versatility and ability to capture a vibe, look out for the names Sublow Hz and Titan K on many movie soundtracks to come.

The CFG Music bosses are back once again with another heater.
We’ve been treated to a Sublow Hz and Frass Groovas team-up before with their 2021 single ‘Kush’, but don’t expect a simple repeat performance. ‘Turn it Up! Bun it Up!’ is a different proposition altogether from that tech-meets-jungle stepper.
You’ll get lulled into a false sense of security from the laid-back intro, with Frass’s delicate melodies riding over half-tempo drums and jazzy chords. Brace yourself for the switch-up though. When the track starts building, mayhem is about to break loose, with stomping drums and aggressively-serrated blades of bass to rip through the dance.

CFG Music’s upstart talent Marxy is back with the follow up to his incendiary debut release on the label, ‘Reality’. And, guess what, it’s another heater.
‘Got Style’ immediately lives up to the name with some classy tone-setting keys and atmospherics before the announcement that “we’ve got style that you can’t finesse” throws us straight into the deep end of jump-up madness.
Make no mistake, though, this isn’t some disposable frog chorus. Evolving bass timbres take us from the mid-range to the low-end and back again, with rhythm pattern switch ups and break-reinforced drums to deliver ultimate skank-outability. This isn’t just for committed jump-up ravers; it’s going to find a place in all kinds of dances.

Making the most of that, the high-impact production duo – otherwise known as the CFG Music label bosses – have delivered 'Got It' for us.


Catching our attention with the cinematic drama of the intro, this quickly transforms into a showcase of some of the flithiest bass tones in the business, punctuated and emphasised by hypnotic drum programming. And then there's the half-human, half-robot cybernetic emcee riding the rhythm and giving 'Got It' a uncategorisable but instantly-recognisable flavour.


With all the elements needed to tear up dancefloors worldwide, as proven beyond doubt on their Asia trip, 'Got It' is set to become an iconic sonic memory of 2025. Sublow Hz have been firing off a volley of sub-genre defying jungle drum 'n' bass productions since the name first appeared on a Dub Shotta release in 2019. Hitting the ground running with accomplished production skills and a highly individual style, it was clear immediately that this team were already masters of their craft.

And, when you get to know that the producers behind Sublow Hz are otherwise known as Benny Kain and JC, that mastery makes absolute sense.

See, these two artists have been around the music business for a long time now. With history in multiple genres – including UKG, hip hop, house and reggae – they gravitated to their permanent home of drum 'n' bass citing the unbeatably-addictive energy and vibes of the genre. And with the diverse palette of influences they've got to draw from, they were able to make Sublow Hz stand out from day one.

But there's even more to the story. Between them, Benny Kain and JC have been heavily involved in event promotion (most recently via the Centralizin Soundz brand) as well as indie film-making (Cabin Fever Films gave us the likes of 'Anuvahood', for example) and are both instrumentalists. And, keeping a strong connection to the roots of junglism, their studio in Jamaica has enabled them to record exclusive vocal sessions from Caribbean artists, giving their productions a level of authenticity very few can achieve.

With all that experience in the bank and the enthusiasm to match it, these producers are able to create at prolific levels. Not only do they have brand new music for pretty much every set and new releases constantly scheduled in, they stay true to the dubplate culture DnB inherited from soundsystem culture by maintaining a constant stockpile of never-to-be-released beats. So, each one of their deejay sets, covering the full spectrum of the music seasoned with their trademark ragga twist, is a truly inimitable experience.

But this is only the first chapter of the Sublow Hz story. With ever-more music on the horizon, and with talk of bringing their instrumental skills to the forefront and creating a live show, on top of their deejay schedule, it's clear that Benny Kain and JC are determined to push the envelope as far as it will go.

Sublow Hz bring a unique perspective on jungle, drum 'n' bass and music as a whole and, so far, we've only seen a fraction of what they have to offer. Get ready for whole new levels to be revealed.
