The follow-up to last-year Deviator expands the more abstract sides of its predecessor. It retains the textural precision of the sound designing and the rigorous layout of the soundfield while restraining the rhythm to explicit skeletons carefully cleansed of any temporal/stylistic reference. Eschewing recognizable patterns or drum-machine sounds, the tracks are floating in an a-historic stasis that is neither ambient nor dub, neither German techno nor British electronica, but breathes in a realm of their own.

If techno patterns and dub's arsenal of stratagems are on the abscissa of this album's coordinate system, melody and audio shimmer define its vertical axis. Scintillation and iridescence fill the role (that) echo and space usually perform in traditional synthetic music. The point here is not so much to devise an artificial sonic territory, but rather to dive headfirst into the looping joy of repetitiousness and entanglement. A particular bliss has been found early on in electronic music's bubbly bounce, from the "bleeps and bloops" celebrated by the pioneers to the dreamy convolutions of arpeggiator sequences. Texture is not a flat surface, fractals have taught us (that) seemingly unbroken planes are usually made of connected bites. Terra incognita is multi-layered.

Brussels-based Sublyme Diagonal has developed his personal take on techno and
electronics as an unlikely equilibrium point between of his other careers respectively
in mutant hiphop on one hand and untamed musique concrete on the other one.
Obviously defending a perilous exercice in harmony of the opposite, he quietly professes his
tightrope walking endeavours by advocating his complete rights to unpredictability.
