After his notable debut on Submersive's VA Osmotic Particles in 2021, Toki Fuko makes a captivating return with his first solo release on the label. 'Hues of Movement' comprises three original tracks and two remixes by Anthony Linell and Artefakt, embodying Submersive's ethos of a deep, hypnotic journey into organic yet dancefloor-ready Techno.

In the three original tracks, Toki Fuko once again mesmerizes with his evolving soundscapes. Electrical pulses are enhanced with expansive reverbs and woven into groovy drum sequences. The tracks gradually evolve, reminiscent of a drop of ink dispersing in water, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in the sound and lose control as they become one with the music.

Anthony Linell, who performed at Submersive’s inaugural party in Paris in 2017, offers a Train remix that seamlessly bridges his signature style with Toki Fuko's sound. The track emerges like a living entity, combining dub-influenced meditative atmospheres with ecstatic elements, growing into a full-length auditory experience.

Artefakt rounds off the release with their 'Warble' remix, taking listeners into depths where light cannot penetrate. The Dutch duo presents a darker take, subtly manipulating elements and maintaining high tension, keeping the end of this sonic adventure tantalizingly out of sight.

Accompanying the EP is artwork by Swiss-Moroccan artist Zineb Mezzour, offering a fresh interpretation of the concepts of surface and water that Submersive explores in each release. Known for her intricate work on paper and ceramics that evoke a microscopic, organic, and spiritual world, Zineb has performed a unique visual for this vinyl. She began by drawing invisible shapes in water, then brought them to life by adding ink that transformed into unpredictable fractal shapes. This artistic process was captured to create both the cover and the video teaser for the EP.

Submersive welcomes 2 new artists on SUBMR07 - Submerged Forces, a split EP by Acaera and Linear Phase.

Diving deep into the unknown, Acaera opens the EP with two tracks that immediately pull you beneath the surface. His signature sound, an intricate blend of mysterious textures and powerful grooves, takes you on a hypnotic adventure, slowly building layers of intensity and tension, creating an ever-evolving sense of progressiveness.

Linear Phase brings an interesting contrast with two tracks that infuse the depths with a surge of vibrant energy. Analog melodies pulse over raw beats and haunted pads, developing a narrative exploration that is both anxious and fascinating.

Born and raised in Italy since ‘98, Pyramidal Decode is the pseudonym of a Techno polyhedral producer.
He started DJing as a young teenager and began producing techno works as well as playing other more classical instruments.
In 2017 he created Pyramidal Decode releasing his tracks in labels such as Subsist records, DeadCert rec, Labrynth, Parabola records and many others.
His music is hard to confine in one genre, but it spaces out between ambient techno and hard industrial. It comes out as a hypnotic trip that he uses to lead the dancefloor to further places. 
2020 and 2021 have been years of major evolution in Pyramidal Decode’s production, he released his works on Axis, Edit Select, Modularz, Dynamic Reflection, B55, Hard Tools rec, and more.

Submersive Podcast 26 - Terence Fixmer

Conrad Van Orton, born Andrea Zanchetta, grew up listening to music from his inseparable Walkman, but also at home, drawing from his parents' vast collection of CDs. The release of the album "Homework" by Daft Punk, which will be seminal for the whole scene, marks for Andrea the beginning of a love that still lasts today, with club music, bewitched by the synthetic and sampled sound. In 2007 he puts together a small studio with his friend Francesco Visconti (now known as VSK) in which the two begin to experiment with the means of music production. In 2010 he began releasing music both on third party labels and on his own Consumer Recreation Services Recordings, co-founded and co-managed together with VSK. The label would release music for nearly a decade, both digitally and on vinyl. To date, after 13 years of militancy in the scene, more than 30 appearances on vinyl and perhaps more than 100 on digital, he runs a small mixing and mastering studio in Rome, his hometown.

Esteban Miranda was born in Roldanillo, Colombia. He began his journey as a DJ in 2017, performing at local events in his area. Two years later, he made his debut as a producer. His music has caught the attention of various renowned labels worldwide, with notable mentions including B55 (MX), TRAU-MA (POR), DREIZEHN SHALLPLATTEN (ALE), AL3MOVIMENT (COL), DARKFOREST (ESP), INNSIGNN (POR), among others.

Throughout his years as a producer, Esteban has developed a commanding, introspective sound that resonates deeply with listeners. His music has been featured on esteemed platforms like Polegroup Radio and has been showcased by prominent artists such as Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Sam Paganini, Joseph Capriati, and the HOR Berlin sessions.

His music has granted him the opportunity to perform at one of Latin America's most significant festivals, the Freedom festival. On this grand stage, he has shared the limelight with esteemed artists like James Ruskin, Electric Indigo, Truncate, Mark, and many others.

This year, he caught our attention with his Ishimura release on Linear System's Modern Minimal.

Medulla Oblongata is a discreet Dj who blossoms in his musical biotope between ambient and a mental and hypnotic techno. as KALT (Strasbourg, Fr) or Ostra Club (Nancy, Fr) alongside Dasha Rush, Vril, Terrence Fixmer, Adiel, Denise Rabe, Justine Perry and more.

With other weirdos he also co-founded the collective TRÊVE gathering artists from different horizons around ambient and visual arts in order to propose dreamlike and contemplative events.

He recently curated a charity V/A with artists from the ambient, downtempo and techno scene, with all proceeds going to help Palestinian civilian victims (freepalestineva.bandcamp.com). Finally his first EPs were released recently, the first one (ambient EP) on Khoros sublabel Chronos and the second (Techno EP) on Sephora Recordings.
