Sciahri joins for DifferentSound Podcast #098.

Italo/Iranian DJ and Producer Sciahriar ‘Sciahri’ Tavakoli has been meandering throughout the spectrum of Techno ever since his 2014 debut EP on Ilian Tape ‘Mysterious Love’. His output has touched the functional paradigms of this genre as much as strongly texture-focused experimentation. This is reflected on his multi-faceted DJ sets. His significance in the scene has been established via some of its most influential record labels, such as Opal Tapes, Manhigh, Semantica, Mord, and, in parallel, via his own outlet Sublunar Records since 2017. This has been complemented by his production with German producer Desroi (Avian / Semantica) and within the leftfield techno/electronica duo UNKNOT with electroacoustic musician Emanuele Porcinai (Contort / Subtext). With his label Sublunar he has been contributing to shaping the sound of contemporary Techno, releasing affirmed as well as up-and-coming artists such as Svreca, Nuel, Refracted, Donor, Nh. He has played in some of the most influential clubs and events in Europe such as Tresor Berlin / Herrensauna, Dude Club Milan, River Port Kiev and many others.

Fabrizio Lapiana [Only Vinyl] joins for DifferentSound Podcast #115.

Fabrizio Lapiana is an italian DJ, producer and a founder of Attic Music, based in Rome. He started his career as a Dj back in 1994, influenced mainly by the early 90's sound of Rome and Detroit as well by the first european pioneers of electronic music. In his DJ sets, Fabrizio makes a precise and intimate techno flow that seduces the dancefloor mixing new and old vinyls range from deep, intricate techno, through an acid and groovy darkness with some melodic gems along the way. With his label “Attic Music”, founded in 2008, Fabrizio grow up his sound combining deep aesthetics and techno grooves often allowing ambient or industrial elements. To remember also the strong collaboration with Max_M on his M_Rec 10'' series in 2014, that showed his most emotional view of techno. His performances in Rome as well in some of the finest wordwide clubs are a way to offer his right vibrations in the techno scene in the last years: the energy created by Fabrizio's sets worth living!

He became one of the most distinctive names on the Bulgarian techno scene, recreating the feeling of a real musical journey not only in his DJ sets but also in his production. Martin is the founder of the Hivemind record label, podcast platform, and events organization, where soon you could hear many more projects from him! We highlight his last release on his own label , the LP called "26695".

Lindsey Wang, the mind behind Polygonia, is a versatile musician and artist based in Munich, Germany. A long time before her electronic music journey began, she explored the realms of several acoustic instruments intensively. This skill combined with studies of various other art forms, inspired the artist to translate her understanding of rhythm, composition and experimentalism into the digital
music language.

Her sound identity is driven by a mystic, deep and organic character which is enriched with acoustic elements built into the genres of deep techno, downtempo and ambient.
Polygonia already released her music on several labels like Lowless, Jazz-o- Tech, On Board Music, Lett Records, Alexandar and more. She expresses herself in various ways through Live- and DJ-Sets. Her audio color palette covers a huge spectrum from calm and harmonic sounds to polyrhythmic dark grooves.

Together with Dycide and MTRL she founded the ambient and deep techno label

Sound researcher in the studio, chaos creator on the dancefloor our next podcast comes from @d-leria aka Giuseppe who started his DJ carrier over 20 years ago in 2001. In the early stages, he was focused on playing Hardcore, achieving international success, and playing at performing at major festival lineups. In 2014 he encountered a new and unfamiliar sound realizing that this was what he had long been desiring. D-Leria was born from this experimentation and started a whole new journey. At first, he began releasing independent EP's that developed the intentions of his very own label called Delirio. Artists such as Stanislav Tolkackev, Simone Giudice, Retina.it, Key Clef, and more were all hosted on several occasions on his label; all there to spread the same message, hard groove on vinyl. In September 2017 he moved to Berlin to find new ideas and to develop his album "Driving to Nowhere" which took him five years but became his most memorable work yet. The sound immediately gained the attention of many artists such as Shifted, Donato Dozzy, Svreca, Neel, Marco Shuttle, Reeko, Psyk, Refracted, and many more. Furthermore, this paved the way for his later recordings on labels such as Avian, Semantica, Non Series, Camera Magmatica, Aura Dinamica, and more which have given him international recognition for D-Leria.

For our next release of the Prozedur Podcast Series, we're excited to introduce POSIIR, a Swiss techno artist and key figure in the Nachtfalter collective. 

Known for crafting hypnotic, syncopated rhythms that transport listeners into a fully immersive club experience, POSIIR's deep understanding of sonic textures has made him a master at creating intense, captivating sets. Beyond his performances, POSIIR is dedicated to building spaces where techno enthusiasts can unite and connect through the music.

He draws influence from the experimental soundscapes of Quelza, Perfo, and Fergus Sweetland, as well as the tension and intensity maintained by Rene Wise, Mathys Lenne, and Oscar Mulero. 

Growing up in an eclectic musical environment, with trance and hardcore compilations from his mom, POSIIR’s decision to step behind the decks came later, spurred by a close friendship.

Looking ahead, POSIIR plans to dive deeper into machine production, expanding his sound and artistic expression. Inspired by icons like Thom Yorke, Pink Floyd, and Moby, his sets reflect a deep connection to both the experimental and emotional sides of music.

When he's not behind the decks, you can catch POSIIR at his residencies with Nachtfalter, Club François, and the Temporal Variation label parties.

Eva Bohnen is a Rotterdam based underground techno dj and producer. Her unique style can be described as raw and intense. Together with Denn Punk Eva runs her own record label MEUK, meaning something between “old junk” and “messy”. You can expect Eva’s new EP ‘Rave Me’ in the next few weeks. Two of the tracks are debuting here in the podcast for ZUZANAH.

Bio:
Producer, live performer and DJ from Białystok, Poland. His music is based on deep techno and ambient, which together with experimental sounds create a hypnotizing whole. In the creative process, he uses synthesizers with the addition of modular synthesis, field recordings and computer software. His sets are known for precise mixing and seamless transitions that keep listeners immersed in the story he creates. In April 2024, he released a 20-track album titled “Charbon” via Subsist Records.
Closely related to the Bialystok's music scene, especially the iconic FOMO club community. He performs not only during techno-focused events, but also at art exhibitions and other interdisciplinary events, where he plays ambient and experimental music. Mateusz is also deeply devoted to the music festivals, where years ago he became interested in electronic music and now he is actively participating in them as a volunteer and artist.
