So here we have it, the final release from us at Yamatai Records for 2022, and what a year it has been!

After almost a year of planning, with countless hours of scouting fresh talent to represent Yamatai, back and forth with art designers to get the right design and multiple final track touch-ups we can finally introduce the 20 track monster the 'Genesis VA'.

This VA includes lots of amazing upcoming talent in the Drum & Bass scene all of who have their own unique sound and style. Featuring artists who have released on Delta 9, Engage Audio, Program, Forbidden Frequencies, 4 Corners, Sinful Maze and Incurzion Audio we have a very very talented bunch of artists on this VA.

To make the thank you even better for the support this year the 'Genesis' VA is a free download with two release dates, starting on December the 16th and then the final release on January 6th.

I would personally like to thank all the artists involved in this huge project and for being so cooperative, also a shout out to Trigo Designs for whipping up such a beautiful album cover but also a massive thank you to R3IDY [R3 Masters] for being patient, and getting these tracks sounding incredible.

I am super excited to finally share this project with you, and I can't wait to see what you think :)

To this day Mortlock & Universal Project's 'Broken Silence' album still stands as a favourite LP for many. Previously unavailable in a digital format, Dispatch Recordings is proud to present a new twist on an all-time classic drum & bass album including new bonus material. Each track sounds superb, thanks to the glossy, modernised 2024 mastering work from Haden at Height Mastering.

In the early 2000s Mortlock was part of Vicious Circle and dropped one of their first demos through the door of Universal Project's flat. By surprise, this led to their first release on Renegade Hardware - a remix of the Universal Project track 'Jackhammer'. This connection would continue to be creative with Mortlock eventually moving into that same flat with Universal Project, where the legendary 'Rollers Convention' would form the first track from this album. Aiming to encapsulate the full range of styles that had inspired them during those furtive years, the album reflects their diverse influences with nods to everything from high melodics to tearout filth. All whilst still maintaining the essence of their sounds - which is to always keep it rolling.

A lesson in rollers in the original sense, this is a firm favourite release for Ant TC1 who has led the 2 year album curation process as a fan first and foremost - it embodies raw breakbeat-driven tech-funk with heavy percussive 2-step and unique soundscapes for that unique Siren Records sound. Now complete with additional tracks, plus singles from the Siren catalogue.

Nos complace anunciar nuestro segundo volumen de la saga Underground Sets, esta vez caracterizado por el 140, derivación del Dubstep en la actualidad.

En el día de hoy, os presentamos a Ángel, mejor conocido como Benzex es un joven Dj Marbellí de 25 años, integrante de SeriousDnB.

Comenzó desde pequeño a interesarse por géneros electrónicos tales como el dubstep y sus variantes y no fue hasta 2021 que comenzó a iniciarse con el DnB, impulsado por el movimiento “rave” de la zona marbellí hizo que rápidamente se involucre en el ámbito Dj comenzando sus primeras mezclas en el verano de ese mismo año.

Sus mezclas han ido evolucionando desde su inicio con subgéneros más comerciales hasta sonidos más oscuros y profundos en la actualidad tales como Deep, Liquid, Techstep o Rolling.
Sus sets en clubs comenzaron en verano de 2023, pudiendo tocar en salas tales como: Industrial Copera, París 15, El Tren, Locos y otros locales además de raves por Andalucía y Portugal.

Su interés por el 140 comenzó a mediados de 2024 y no fue hasta comienzos de 2025 cuando comenzó a instaurarlo a lo largo de sus sets convirtiéndose rápidamente en uno de sus géneros favoritos. 

Prepárate para disfrutar de un set único con sonidos oscuros y electrizantes.
