Benjamim / Barnaby Keen - Terra Firme

The Rip Tide, el último disco de Beirut, es un viaje espectacular de sólo 30 minutos y 9 canciones compuestas por trompetas, ukulele, violines, acordeones y la singular y profunda voz de Zach Condon. Mantiene una melancolía épica que ha distinguido a la banda en trabajos anteriores, pero está vez Zach Condon se muestra más optimista. En el disco podemos encontrar un sonido electro como “Santa Fe”, canción escrita por Condon a los 15 años. En “East Harlem”, Beirut nos entrega una exquisita composición con trompetas. Mientras que “Goshen” es una semi-balada que al inicio nos recuerda a un sonido clásico del pop británico de principios de los noventa. Una delicia de disco de principio a fin, ideal para el viajero intrépido que llevamos dentro.
