Having started as Korben Nice in 2012, he developed the aim of evolving over the years and established its own sounds within the styles of electronic music. Luciano Maggiore is a Palermo-born, London-based musician whose work is characterised by the use of speakers and several analogue/digital devices (samplers, CD players, walkmans, tape recorders) and addresses the performativity of the musical act, the perception of it, and the obscurity that emanates from it. His main interests include mechanisms of sound diffusion, performance, repetition, endurance, non-human animal languages, dance, folklore.

«1 Outside, 4 Inside» is a sound journey through the body’s memory as a feminine legacy. Its choral dimension refers to the women’s voices that precede us and resonate in us, which guide us and are connected between them through souvenir. It is a mix that approaches mourning, childhood, the notion of feminine trinity, & it is also an homage, a musical altar entirely composed (with one exception) of productions and compositions of female artists.

Pour cette seconde murmuration, nous partons sur la piste des oiseaux.
Pourquoi les oiseaux ? “Parce que terriblement concernés par l’érosion de la biodiversité ; parce que source de réflexion inépuisable (...) ; parce qu’intégrés à tous les aspects d’une mondialisation de l’information et des pratiques — surveillance, suivi, abattage, soin, réintroduction, protection. [...] Parce qu’il est nécessaire de penser avec les oiseaux, depuis leurs territoires et ceux/celles qui les côtoient, en un temps où habitats et espèces disparaissent” souligne Roméo Bondon dans son texte Penser depuis l’oiseau.
Traversée entre field-recording, pièces électroacoustiques et mélodies électroniques, cette murmuration nous convie à écouter les mondes des oiseaux, premiers chanteurs dont l’humain aurait imité les mélodies pour constituer le langage.

Since 2019, Subject To Restrictions Discs strives to discover and resurface music from the swirl corners of the present and the past. Murky rhythms, minimalist folk, electro, EBM and much more can be discovered in the label’s discography. In addition to the releases, label boss Dominik André regularly hosts label nights at Kauz Club, where he takes the leftfield approach to dance music with an eclectic program. Speaking of dancefloor. Although Subject To Restrictions Discs is undoubtedly rooted in the culture of sweaty clubs and strobo lights, it can always be found front left, squinting on the dance floor.

For today’s Summer Camp radio show program, Subject To Restrictions Discs has invited four DJs and music enthusiasts who contribute to the local music scene with their outstanding music selection and commitment. Exkursion, who helps shape and mold the Zentralwäscherei project, has been a close friend and supporter of the label for years and has built an excellent reputation as a DJ. Monelle Aimée Kanza not only designs the artwork for the records, but is also a reliable source of exciting music. Being around her means the perfect vibe vibrating from the speakers. With Intermezzo and Hing, the label share a new friendship that, how could it be otherwise, has its origins in music. Intermezzo has been making a name for herself in the city for some time now. It’s always a pleasure when a new mix of hers goes online, you always discover great stuff in it. Hing also belongs to the guild of fine selectors. Everyone should listen to his radio show on Düsseldorf’s Call Shop Radio called Domestic Mind Wanderer.
