Also a member of the Merci collective, Nessiel is involved in the organization of inclusive and libertarians events in the area of Rennes (FR).

The continent of Mu is a mythical continent which would have been submerged after a cataclysm; as well as Atlantis and Lemuria. 
Mu was first heard of by the French missionary Charles Étienne Brasseur de Bourbourg (1814 - 1874). In 1867, he translated the Mayan codex Tro-Cortesianus discovered in Yucatan and claimed to have deciphered a story of a land that had been swallowed up by the Pacific Ocean.
These researches are taken up again much later by the British writer James Churchward (1852 - 1936), who makes a similar proposal on the continent of Mu, and places it in the middle of the Pacific Ocean as Brasseur de Bourbourg. He made this research through his book: Mu, the lost continent published in 1926. 
He learned about this continent from an Indian priest. During his stay in India, he discovered strange tablets written in an ancient language. The Indian priest taught him this dead language and explained to him that it was the "original language of humanity" and that only three Indian priests had the knowledge of it.
Other recent hypothesis to locate the Mu Continent have been emited, trough the discovery of the submerged structure of Yonaguni. The structure is made of sandstone and was discovered by a local diver in 1985, south of the island of Yonaguni in the Ryukyu archipelago. 

Other people have tried to find Mu, but in vain. Today, only mystery lovers and ancient civilizations speculate about the existence of the continent of Mu, trying to find an explanation about our origin.

Collaborating is one of our core values, spiced up with friendship, sharing and fun. Amatori is all about this—enjoying the journey together.

Amatori is a Berlin-based collective and record label that celebrates the art of the amateur. Named after the Italian word for 'amateurs,' Amatori consists of international people who share their passion for music and creativity.

The core members of Amatori are based between Berlin and Bassano del Grappa in Italy. While they work full-time in areas beyond music, they use Amatori as a soundboard to bounce ideas, explore music production techniques, and most importantly, enjoy the process.

As a collective, the group encourages exchanging knowledge in a safe space, whether that space is a living room, video call, stream or DIY party location. Since 2019, the community has ebbed and flowed, welcoming friends and mutual friends from abroad into the fold. Together they build a network to boost each other's projects. B2B DJ sets, mixing and mastering one another's tracks, providing feedback and sharing music is standard within the group. Supporting and encouraging creativity in any shape—as well as being supported by and in constant dialogue with other arts—is vital to the collective.

The aesthetic of Amatori has oscillated between down-tempo, layer-textured melodies like the Recel EP to percussive-heavy, dark atmospheres in Lub~Dub. Every month, the collective invites intriguing DJs to contribute to Amatori's multi-toned Amamix archive. Building a diverse sound palette is integral to Amatori, with a policy that welcomes any genre. So far, five releases make up the label's back catalogue, with plenty more in the pipeline by local and international producers.

"And suddenly we had to do a live show. In Barcelona. Each of us being in a different country".

 What does the city sound like, what do people say, how do you feel when you are part of it? Either passing through, or as a local. 
These were some of the first questions we put on paper. Sitting in a Berlin bar. Trying to get the tone, before going up to Alex's house and turning on the machines.  

From here, visits to the city of Barcelona were made and small stories were captured in transit; streets, parks, neighborhoods, markets, encounters. Barcelona, basically. We came up with an unwritten script that situated us somewhere to release our musical language.

.apart began its first steps with the 'Chapters', inviting either friends or strangers from remote places, to leave a sonic trace in our catalog. What we didn't know, or at least clearly, is that all these contributions would end up being our influences as musicians. A route through genres and styles to learn from. And one that brought us together to make this music.

You have given us one of the most important gifts. Artists and listeners. You are as much a part of this as we are. Thank you so much.
