For a long time we have had this in motion and are pleased to finally present you the sixth part of the BlackWood podcast. Everyone who is familiar with the works of Leon Switch knows that he is a Legend of this style, which is recognizable from the first notes & selections! 
And if you are new to this artist, be prepared for an immense & powerful dive into bass music. 
The podcast is full of dubplates and tunes that are pending release with NōTaN and on labels such as Kuro Records  and Deep, Dark and Dangerous and andother fairly well-known platforms.

BIOGRAPHY:
With a career spanning 20 years and a backlog of releases, Leon has been busy to say the least. Stemming from a musical background, Leon specialised in lead guitar as his first instrument and spent most of his teenage years in various bands performing anything from Heavy metal to 60's-70's Rock'n'Roll.
He first started programming music in 1992 and then bought his first studio setup in 1998, soon to follow was his debut release in 2001 on Unkut Recordings. 2002 saw the birth of Defcom Records along with the partnership of Kryptic Minds, and a massive passion for deep dark Drum and Bass.
With releases on imprints such as MetalHeadz, Frequency, Freak, Monitor and Penetration to name just a few, he had recorded and remixed for some of the scenes true pioneers and then 2007 was to see his debut Album 'Lost all Faith'. 2008/9 and a change of tempo and name, pushed him into the limelight.
Now writing under the Kryptic Minds moniker, the 'One of us' album was released on Swamp81 and the international touring started. Reaching places as far as New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong and then out to places such as Moscow, Siberia, Ukraine, but not forgetting nearly all of Europe in his home times...
The releases continued on imprints such as Tectonic and Osiris Music.

The UK based pair, Mystic State, conceived The Chikara Project in 2017. They have notably portrayed a collection of artists that have cultivated an expressive, atmospheric array of breaks and basslines that bring a neoteric feel to the Drum and Bass genre. For this label’s thirteenth digital release, they’ve featured a sublime collaboration between Sydney's rising creators Brainwork and mnml.

AUTHOR-AFTER TIME ft QUARK

DJ Mithical is a true music enthusiast who recalls his life’s timeline with songs and bands since pre-school age. 
His passion for D&B grew out from metal in 2005. He picked up DJing since 2010 in England and continued his pursuits while building the underground scene in Chengdu, China (the best China had to offer).
Although, being a multi-genre DJ, he is mostly known for d&b - from atmo-soulful melodies to fat beats and deep gritty bass lines, keeping audience engaged and uplifted. He values a tight interaction with an audience, and he loves to dance while mixing. 
Besides nightclubs, Mithical played regularly in private and corporate events, and lounge venues.
