Ahead of his performance at the Dutch "Planet Paradigm: A One Day Trip" festival, which will take place on the 28th of May, we are delighted to have back Voigtmann on the mix series. Almost four years after his first appearance on our platform, the visionary London-based DJ, producer, and label owner continues to impress with his crystalline productions and varied yet energetic DJ sets, not changed over the course of time if not for a faster, more driving bpm approach. Again, this mix is filled with spaceship vibes and dancefloor attitude, in a think crack between retro-house and moody electro where Voigtmann truly feels at home. And so we do. Turn up the volume! In a slight change to our scheduled program we deliver just in time for Christmas something rather special. Singularly Voigtmann and John Dimas have been major players on the underground house and techno scene for some time, with their respective labels Subsequent and Elephant Moon both doing important work for the more electro leaning end of the spectrum. They have of course joined forces with devastating effect and the result is VO1GT.M4S – a back to back that combines both artists’ deadly skills both in the studio and in the DJ booth. Trommel.157 - VOIGT.MAS (Voigtmann & John Dimas)

Following on from drops on his own Jugaar imprint, Karachi mainstay Rudoh is back with his Infinite Blue E.P. for Voigtmann’s indelible Subsequent label. Having graced dancefloors from Bangkok to London it’s safe to say Rudoh is on the rise, his productions have gained a variety of followers including Emerald, Roza Terenzi, Bambounou, and DJ Masda. Consisting of four slabs of refined breakbeat architecture the E.P. stakes out a blueprint for modern drum programming and thoughtful pad work.

The opener “Be With Me” is a clear statement of intent. A weaving break pattern adorned with airy synth pads, it eventually introduces a kind of vocal science rooted in UK garage culture, the steady bassline pulsating all the way through.

This is followed by “Getting There” which drifts in with lush ambient chords, and a kick and snare with the right type of chunk. Bubbling synths enter along that develop as the track picks up filtered vox drops and effects. It’s a thought-provoking piece that will keep dancefloors interested way into the early hours.

“Ima Hold This” takes on a darker edge. Its full-bodied bassline and UK-MC vocal chops lay the foundation for wistful pads that flow in and out as it builds. It’s a track that is as comfortable in the headphones as it is on the dance floor.

On the B2 Rudoh gifts us with an instrumental mix of “Be With Me”. The lack of vocals on this dub gives listeners the chance to delve deeper into its twinkling synth excursion.

Voigtmann skillfully takes the helm in the new GH Exclusive Mix. The set opens with a captivating ambient track that immediately catches the listener's attention.
