We're back for our April 2021 session with our first show since Groove City Radio began broadcasting live throughout Glasgow on 88.6FM
To celebrate, we've got 2 special guests.

For the first hour we've got Dubrovnik (UK) with his deep and dubby trademark sound.

Dubrovnik (UK) is a subSine resident and a past student of the subSine Academy.

He has recently put together some guest mixes for the Recorder Series and more recently Greyscale, the label where he also released his Planetary Soul EP last year.

We'll be hearing from Dubrovnik (UK) telling us a bit about his mix, and what he has been working on in the studio lately.

Up on hour 2 our guest is a serial producer of quality techno, and one of the leading figures in the Icelandic contemporary techno scene - Ohm.

Having released records on many quality labels such as Thule, AE Recordings, Taped Artefact, Solid Groove, Kontakt Records and more recently on his very own OHM Series, we're looking forward to a deep journey through electronics!

subSine | Sessions 010: Ohm (Thule) & Dubrovnik (UK)

On this month's show, hour one will see Chris Curtis will showcase some of the best new house, techno and electronic music from around the world, alongside exclusive new tracks from alumni of subSine | Academy in Glasgow.

In hour two we have an incredible electro mix from Glasgow-based AISHA (Soma Records // Huntley & Palmers).

Storming onto the local scene in 2018, AISHA has firmly stamped herself as one of the best talent currently emerging from Glasgow. She is a resident DJ at Animal Farm (who hold a bi monthly night at world renowned Subclub) has supported acts such as Dax J and Nur Jaber, and played festivals such as Riverside Festival and TRSNMT.
As a producer, AISHA has seen her varied output released via labels such as Hilltown Disco, Bass Agenda and Huntley & Palmers, and more recently teamed up with fellow Animal Farm resident Quail for a series of massive releases on internationally renowned techno label, Soma Records.

As a DJ, AISHA’s versatility can have her dropping euphoric and energetic Hard Trance to raw and pumping Techno, giving her sets an upbeat, old school feel. When AISHA is playing, prepare to sweat.

Alumni Records is the proud production of subSine | Academy of
Electronic Music (formerly Shoogle Studios) which is Scotland's
leading electronic music production school. The premise of the
label is to release music from students and the last three releases
have been stormers that cross genres between house and techno. In
the latest instalment we see 4 incredible tracks on the deeper end of
house music from some artists that you should be keeping your eyes
on as part of the next wave of electronic music coming out of this
incredible school and city.

subSine | Sessions 005: Andy Green & Chris Curtis

We're back for our first instalment of 2021 with very special guest Gourlay (Mindset / Modula Records) alongside our host Chris Curtis (subSine | Sessions.

Gourlay was born in Glasgow (Scotland) in 1997. At the age of 18, he started promoting his own club night “Mindset” emerging on the very busy and vibrant music scene Glasgow has to offer with the help of international dj Craig Hamilton (Mindset/Platform 18).

He has booked and played alongside many renowned artists such as Dana Ruh, Tijn, Maksy and Diego Krause to name a few. He has ticked off playing at La Cheetah Club, The Berkeley Suite and Flat 0/1, which are among some of his favourite spaces in Glasgow and he has also played in Heidelberg, Germany. But gaining a residency in La Cheetah Club between 2017 and 2018 was a highlight of his time as promoter, with things taking a new direction into 2019.
