New Jersey DJ/producer https://soundcloud.com/sushisamson has joined the Good Street ranks with his debut EP 'Dark North'. We are excited to be releasing this as our first EP of 2016!

Sushi Samson cleverly brings elements of Juke/Footwork, Trap, Club and Hip-Hop to this up-front in-your-face assault of 160bpm Bass. Aggressive tracks (such as 'Grenade Thru Your Window' and 'Breakin Necks') are expertly contrasted with more laid back Hip-Hop flavoured cuts (such as 'Belka' + 'Laika'), all keeping a keen ear for sampling and tight percussion.

All in all, a well rounded EP from a forward-thinking producer. Heres hoping 2016 will be a big year for him!!

The NOUR EP is a collaboration between juke/footwork adventurer BLK MRKS and award-winning creative art director and designer Radim Malinic [Brand Nu] 

During his recent trip to Uganda, Malinic recorded a vast range of moments and encounters in local communities. Focusing on Lake Byunioni and the South-West region of the country, the trip provided an exhilarating selection of chants, local folklore, songs and monologues. 

The audio was crafted into four intricate tracks highlighting both the richness and diversity of Ugandan culture, and the vibrancy of the emerging Footwork scene. Each track is quite different in personality but all reflecting an interesting clash of cultures. 

The tracks have been remixed by a wide selection of producers from all over the world. Russian Footwork edits, wonky 169bpm remixes and club-ready 130bpm tracks... and more.

This project was inspired by the charitable work of Little Big Africa, who provide protected water sources to local people in East Uganda.

Singer-Songwriter-Producer B~Free reemerges with her sophomore effort, the "Ode 2 A Luv Affair LP." With sound inspirations from Musiq Soulchild, Dwele, J-Dilla & Jill Scott., it is a conceptual album that traverses the ups and downs of romantic relationships. vulnerability, passion and compromise.

Production for the album began in 2013 but was interrupted by a lengthy vocal trauma that would leave the artist unable to speak or sing for months. Following a vocal cord surgery & traumatic year of recovery, B~Free became more dedicated than ever to share her musical gifts.

The project features 13 songs written, produced and performed by the multi-talented musician herself, with collaborations including a duet with singer Brian Dimetri and a song written by Damara Woodring of Savage Sevyn. Hailed by The Shepard Express as an "immaculately constructed R&B record," with a style rooted in 90s R&B/Neo Soul & traces of present day influences, Ode not only represents the many trials & turmoils of love, but the personification of an artist's loss & reclaiming of her gift.
