To celebrate dance floors opening up without restrictions for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic, Kemba provides us with the 14th instalment in the REC Series. Kemba is well known and popular character in the Sydney scene with his fair share of appearances, most notably warming up for Rossi at S.A.S.H on Aus Day. As well as his talent behind the decks, Kemba has seen success in the producing aspect of the scene also, with a recent release on Svoboda making it high up on the charts.

Miss Chants is a new Dj from South London. She started teaching herself how to mix in June 20. A familiar face from London house scene, between 2012 -2015 it was literally "house every weekend"
 
She gained popularity featuring in SStar Tv's "I got Shapes #21"

DJ/Producer from Tamworth (UK), who loves all things music related. Nothing makes him happier than sharing the music he love, making people come together and dance. He says he loves House more than anything and playing all varieties from Minimal to Deep House, as well as Garage, Soulful & Bass. 

He started Djing 4 years ago, holding a residency in a club in his local town as well as playing at events in surrounding cities such as Nottingham and Leicester. His most notable set was 02:31 events at Amusement 13 in Birmingham on New Year’s Eve. Birmingham being his nearest city, he has also managed to secure a set at The Monastery, Spotlight and The Tunnel Club.

In addition he has held a Bi-Weekly residency every Tuesday evening for Locked In Radio. This show led to him to play at the infamous Ibiza Rocks Bar in June 2019 for Locked In. Top local artists he has supported include Tom Shorterz, Tommy Vercetti, Pete Graham, Fleur Shore & Billy Rath.

Lee Hasty - Substance Socials Mix (Vol.7)

Aged just 20, Domsquared from Milton Keynes has been DJing for about a year and has quickly become obsessed with the art. Notorious for House and Techno music he brings a Tech House mix with flavours of Green Velvet, Eddy M, Harry Romero and Michael Jackson.

Bringing a fresh and infectious energy the future is full of excitement and potential for Dom as he works on producing his own tracks.

Dusty Grooves label boss ENSALL is an artist beginning to flourish in his lane. Hailing from the Buckinghamshire area of the UK, the musically pioneering producer is fast becoming one of the UK’s most promising prospects.

ENSALL’s musical inclination is subtly inspired by several urban influences, all of which have been widely regarded as being attributed to the creation of ‘modern’ music. Growing up with a love of Hip-Hop, Soul and Funk, ENSALL naturally leans towards artists like Sidney Charles, Jesse Perez, DJOKO and Black Loops for inspiration - a collective of artists whose impact on electronic music is seminal at very least.

To summarise ENSALL’s creative palate, it’s a bed of loosely swung cadence - comprising potent drum work and sizzling percussive factors that often combine to make ‘heads down’ type grooves. Punched through the centre of that concoction, you will typically find delicately progressive chords, bright pads and thunderous sub-bass sequences that offer an intense balance of feel-good and shake loose vibes (all of which have their definitive place on the dancefloor).

Already building a reputation through credible and impressive releases, ENSALL has seen his work signed by the likes of Under No Illusion, Whoyostro, Mr Nice Guy, Simma Black and of course his Dusty Grooves imprint. His standout style has regularly garnered the support of artists like Di Chiara Brothers, Martin Ikin, Mark Jenkyns, Jesse Perez, MADVILLA, Ki Creighton and more.

More than just a talented producer, ENSALL also continues to build an impressive following within clubland circles. His performance resume boasts some of Europe’s most respected nightlife spots and festivals including Egg, Ministry Of Sound, Eden Ibiza, We Are FSTVL, Bowlers and more; which has seen him support the likes of Steve Lawler, Darius Syrossian, Camelphat, Sante & Sidney Charles, Hector Couto, Leftwing:Kody and Dale Howard among others.

Despite a year out of the game, ENSALL has stayed on track and busy in the studio. With clubland bursting at the seams with anticipation of a return to normality, ENSALL’s release schedule is ready and armed to propel him to new heights - solidifying his place in the UK scene and further beyond.

For our 37th Podcast we have Ellzo.

Ellzo is a South East London based DJ who mixes a lot of punchy minimal/minimal house, always looking to bring energy to his sets through the music he plays. 
Ellzo began teaching himself how to mix at an early age of 16 and has been his passion ever since. DJ EZ and his Dad were his main 2 inspirations for wanting to be a DJ. His Dad was a vinyl DJ mixing soul and garage music back in the 80s and DJ EZ style of mixing has always fascinated him. 

Garage/Grime was the type of music Ellzo used to mix to begin with, which slowly turned into Tech House and Deep house and now has evolved into Minimal/Deep Tech or whatever you wanna call it!

Ellzo likes to call the style of music he plays ‘UK sound’ as it’s hard to put a finger on exactly the name of the genre. It involved minimal, minimal house, tech house & deep house so UK sound will do!

Ellzo is learning the craft of mixing on wax as it’s something he’s always appreciated and wanted to be able to do. He loves having a dig in record shops across London so if you can’t find him he’ll probably be in Phonica Soho! 

Ellzo has played out a handful of times at venues like Basing House, Arcadia, and The Cause. He has also done mixes for the likes of NOVA and BackToBack, in the UK as well as a Chilean event called Vember for their mix series’ which you can find on soundcloud.
