From electrifying sets at iconic New York City venues like Output, Cielo, and Bossa Nova Civic Club to his unforgettable performance at EDC New York in 2015, he has consistently delivered immersive, high-energy experiences. In September 2024, he brought his dynamic sound to Denver, playing for the renowned Unseen Crew, further expanding his reach in the underground scene. Beyond live events, he has captivated a global audience with two acclaimed live streams at Analog Vice Studios in Bogotá, Colombia.

Through ALT RECORDS, Matt has built a platform to amplify cutting-edge techno and push the genre into uncharted territories. With a relentless passion for innovation, he continues to redefine his craft, making every release and performance a bold statement of artistic vision.

Joaquín Jorquera aka Joaks is a DJ and sound engineer from Santiago, Chile. He is one of the founders and part of @escape_techno, a collective of sessions, podcasts, and events.

He has been passionate about music since a very young age and is deeply familiar with the genre.

His sound focuses primarily on hypnotic techno, moving through more minimalist, sci-fi soundscapes, atmospheric and immersive sounds, progressing to a much denser, rhythmic, and dancefloor-friendly sound.

Hakkon was born in La Rioja (Spain) in August 1991. Since his childhood, he was attracted by electronic music and always had the dream of becoming a DJ.

In 2010, he started his career in the electronic scene, with the firm intention of becoming a leading professional. In 2013, he took his first steps in the clubs, and with effort and dedication he has been building a unique and varied musical repertoire in his sessions. His carefully crafted performances take the listener on a continuous journey of dark and hard-hitting techno, creating an exceptional dynamic with his 2 and 3-deck sets.

His most notable influences include old school artists such as Ben Sims, Truncate, Mark Broom, Robert Hood, Cristian Varela, Jeff Mills, Surgeon, Oscar Mulero and James Ruskin.

In 2022, Hakkon joined the Plus One collective, sharing with leading artists from the world scene.

On a production level, he has made his mark in countries such as Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Amsterdam and Chile, and has worked with labels such as Unterwelt, Parallel Thoughts, Dissolved Mind, Error in the System, The Office, Aoum, Habitat Musical, Kobold, Concepto Hipnótico, Residen7Alien, Donker, Ethnic Meeting, Asymmetrical, Fonio, Raverground, Exodus, Volk, DZB, Simplecoding, Alchemical Mind, Pure Nature, Arido Records and Audio Alert. 

Hakkon is also a member of Alchemical Minds Records, a label dedicated to preserving the underground essence of electronic music, prioritising quality over quantity.

Fast. Impulsive. Techno. Three words to establish and define what the artist known as Egotot is all about. The young musician, hailing from the deep south of Germany, sets quite the pace when it comes to his vision of electronic music, regarding both tempo as well as quality. His beats, be in the studio or in the DJ booth, appear to come and arrange themselves seemingly with no effort. A Rave-infected sonic testing ground without ever feeling like a simple Rave pastiche. A vision of Techno that is obviously inspired by its sound of the 90s, but neither exceedingly aggressive, nor excessively happy.

Egotot has a special taste for rugged, up-tempo grooves which demand their own time to breathe and reveal their power. A sonic all-purpose weapon to be used on, for, and by the dance floor. However, his sense for music doesn’t stop at the edge of dancefloor-oriented Rave. It goes far beyond, right to and through the sometimes more and sometimes less subtle tides of electronic music.

This exemplarily reflects in his very own imprint, Schimmer Records, which he founded in 2019. The label has, in a rather short period of time, already evolved to a sonic reservoir of all different shades, all of which share a commonality – quality in production, love to detail, and an undeniable appeal to avid devotees of electronic music of all kinds. 

There is nothing confusing about Egotot’s take on music. It is clean-cut, it is straightforward, it is always effective. The Industrial clout, the fast groove, the merciless rigor – this is how Techno should sound in the 21st century, and Egotot is its perfect avatar.

For this sixth edition of Coven Sessions, we welcome Goon, a DJ and producer based in Bologna, Italy, and resident & co-founder of the Raskolnik Project.
