to this sweet mother earth we are born to 

to myself, to remember all the ways to tend to this body, to nurture this body, this gift so I can show up for those around me 

for the knowledge deep seeded in my bones, planted with love and tenderness, weeded with strong lessons 

left to grow wild 

left to grow strong rooted and resilient 

left to grow free 

my mother has always grown such beautiful gardens, there was always a bouquet or food basket to be made for the visitor, the neighbour, the teacher. This abundance was never lost on me, a lesson in everything this earth has to offer if we tend to it, if we listen, if we come back to it again and again, so we can share its wealth to nourish and uplift those around us.

This song was created using a climate sample pack recorded by green peace on expeditions around the globe for a contest for DJ's for Climate Action that asked the question: 

“what will our future sound like” 

to me our future sounds like listening. There is a symphony of sounds out there that inform us to how our environment is functioning. Listening and remembering ~ how we got here and how we can take care of where we are now to nurture and share in its abundance

The album features collaborations with Bay Area dubstep don Dubsworth, MC Ill Chill, and the UK’s Talabun on the mic. The record closes with The Light featuring noted San Francisco jazz vocalist Rachel Mazer."

"Subtle Mind is a dubstep duo based in LA by way of the Bay Area. They began producing tracks in 2010 and have since been supported by Joe Nice, Truth, Gantz, BunZer0, DJ Chefal, and Bakir. Support that has culminated in their first international appearance at the quintessential bass music Mecca: the Outlook Festival in Pula, Croatia." 

"Subtle Mind became known around the world in 2013 with the release of “Gravitate” (TUBAd 004). The EP earned critical acclaim, being called “forward thinking bass science” by Juno, and was said to posses “a strong connection between both harmonically and melodically-driven music, and the percussive sound system testing sounds of reggae and dub” by FatKidOnFire. Deep Heads are very proud to present the single release of Zeb Samuels 'Free Floating', the Mystic State Remix!

The original track, just recently released, is taken from the Zeb Samuels forthcoming album 'Arrival', due out on the label very soon.

Mystic State are 2 producers on top of their game at the moment and have been pushing out their mystic vibes for quite some time now. 
Their productions have come a long way since the first offerings back in 2013 and sound has become sonically advanced and refined over their release output.

The remix is a 160BPM Drum & Bass delight and drum work is impressive. 
Detailed breaks and fills drive the recording with an almighty, low, sub-bass bursting through the low end. It's a warm and delicate production but still holds weight with encapsulating energy.
