Twovi - Live Across The Ether #5

For the seventh episode of the #SubsessionsPodcast we welcome friend to Subsurface and rising philly artist @Slacksss. Over the last 2 years Stephen "Slacks" Sklarow has converted from full blown multi-genre music fanatic to one of Philly's most promising young DJ's. Helping pioneer @say-less-records his abstract style and selection has given him a unique twist on DJing leaving listeners feeling nothing short of fabulous. 

We are happy to welcome him to our next event as he makes his Subsurface debut on March 23, 2019 alongside our Subsurface residents @JohnRaffaele & @k_e_e_n and a VERY VERY special guest.

Merloh is a Philly based deejay, producer, & event organizer who connects the dots across genres from italo-disco to techno to UK garage. If she's not behind the decks, catch her out on the dance floor til sunrise. Over the last year she has been lighting up the Philly underground dance music scene, leading the way for a new era of women DJ's in the City of Brotherly Love.

For this particular mix, she chose a cast made up entirely of woman artists.

We've had the chance to DJ with him various times over the years at Seekers parties and he has always impressed with his unique selections and productions. Subsessions 012: Yōsuke DJ

Our Next #Subsession podcast guest needs little introduction, as we welcome none other than- Jacob Herschel.

You probably remember his work with Rizumu, 52hz, and Philly's favorite summer weekly jam "Fountain Green". Jacob has played a pivotal part in Philadelphia dance music culture for more than a decade. Recently he relocated to Providence, Rhode Island where he has played part in hosting a DIY bi-weekly after hours parties with Symposium Records called "Beep & Klang". He has also been working throwing a monthly art gallery party called "Groove", helping further the scene in Providence.

Jacob is no stranger to subsurface as he joined us in celebrating 10 years of Sean Thomas's Drumsong party in February 2019 featuring special guest Recloose. We have special plans for Jacob to return to the City of Brotherly Love once the dust settles.

Subsessions 013: Jacob Herschel

Story time folks and a true one at that...

After an Albion showcase in Leicester we once kidnapped Jake from Leicester and put him in the boot of a taxi all the way to Leeds and took him hostage for the weekend the rest is history. A strong bound was formed in a West Yorkshire  kitchen that simply couldn't be broken.

3 Days later we are on the hunt for records in charity shops, sleep was out of the question and rules we're not set but on that day we talked about a Podcast for the series and it's taken until now for him to deliver... this is 4 years in the making and it's been worth the wait!

Turn it up baby we be having a PARTY!
