A delicate ambient meditation on the weight of early hours, Mornings Are Overrated drifts through the fog of half-formed thoughts and elusive emotions. Created in his bedroom with a tape recorder, cheap Casio keyboards, and pedals, then processed with digital instruments, Bops album reveals a quiet, deliberate minimalism. Every sound is given space to breathe, yet each element folds into itself, blurring into a hazy, inseparable whole. Its an introspective, slow-burning journey, embracing both the worries and lethargy of waking up in a world that always seems to move too fast.

Honoured to have Marenn Sukie touch back down on The Chikara Project. 

This is "Ain't No Way", his fourth offering on the label, which sees Chris focus his inimitable style solely around the 160 - 170bpm spectrum. As we've come to expect from Marenn Sukie, the release is mature, deeply layered and highly emotive, spanning four tracks which manage to sound both raw and perfectly tailored.

I created this track on Sep 11 ´25 evening. All Drums by myself. i tried to produce it as a pretty dense and expressive beat. the sidechained riser in the background gives it a constant feeling of running and escaping.

By adding the aggressive champion style ragga vocals with an psychedelic echo, it all made sense

The track evolved from a boombap beat to a ragga electro vibe.
