Monomood was born in the mid-80s in a small village near Dresden. But for more than 20 years, Berlin has been his hometown. As an artist, he is difficult to categorize. What is it? Techno? House? Drum and bass? Or maybe dubstep? How about a quantum of funk or ambient? Well, actually it's always a bit of everything - but always new and fresh. It's hard to find a leitmotif, and yet there is one: quality. Having started with techno in the late '90s and lingering on the drum and bass station for a while, it's fair to say that Monomood now operates in two different yet familiar directions : on the one hand, the vast cosmos of dubby, delay-driven sounds; on the other, heavy bass drums and energetic dancefloor movers. Hence, his catalog features releases at Etui Records, Infinè, Fachwerk and many more.
