Glad I snagged one a' them dubplates. Wicked stuff!

this was the first dubstep song I ever heard.  In a studio with the best sound system ever... I was hooked ever since.  Even though I have gravitated to more 2 step, garage, dnb lately... I still have love for dubstep.. .especially the classics like this... such a fukin banger... 50,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this named: 'Fran lebowitz' by Geode & C Tivey.  Is this tune available anywhere?

Presenting one of the sickest and most well respected names in dubstep, drum & bass, jungle and beyond; it’s @jkenzomusic 💥

We’re HONOURED to be able to share this one, especially as he’s gone all in with a multi-genre madness. Blending garage, broken beat, dubstep and even some slick 140 jungle. 

For us, J:Kenzo was absolutely pivotal in guiding our younger selves through the deeper, darker and more stripped back side of dubstep. His earlier stuff on Tempa Records around 2011 - 2014 was ridiculously influential and led us through the depths of underground music with a  bass powered torch that never really died out 🔦 

Every time we’ve seen him play live it’s been 10/10. The most recent being Outlook U.K. in that SWEATBOX of a tent. Shout out anyone in attendance cos that was overly hot n heavy 😤

Bring it forward to now, and J Kenzo is still absolutely smashing it. You can see him on some of the biggest lineups around nearly every weekend. Regardless of the BPM, Kenzo has tracks to tick every box and has in more recent years started dropping more dnb and jungle tracks and is still sitting at the top lineups all over the world 🌎 

He’s got forthcoming a Metalheadz EP we’re proper gassed to check out. Kenzo jungle bits are serious ☠️

It’s also a madness how often producers get on and remix Kenzo’s tracks - it’s an immediate sign of respect when so many heads jump on a remix duty, and often maintain so many of the original sounds and flavours of the og track. 

There’s not many platforms J:Kenzo hasn’t played or released on at this point. A few to mention; @bbc1extra, @rinsestagram, @outlookfestival, @metalheadzmusic, @djmagoffical we really could go all day with this… 

You’d be wise to check his recent @subtleradio birthday b2b special with @djyoungsta @spmc - his ongoing Subtle residency is really something. He’s been reppin them for years, with his Artikal Music Show poppin off every time 🔊

Heads up - BRISTOL gang, you can catch him spinning a jungle set at @rupturelondon’s next big one at The Trinity Centre on October 10th, alongside the usual Rupture royalty as well as some newer names. Large up; @dj.mantra, @doubleorupture, @stretch_ako, @asha.binx, @blackeyemc and @mcchickaboo - this one is a must attend 🔊

"This mix is a really special one for me. I like to think of it more like an album to be honest. All of the productions are mine and I decided to bring in every stem of every tune into Ableton so that I could layer different elements from all of my tunes over the drums, bass, percs, and effects from other tracks. I then got a bit carried away and ended up making tunes inside the Ableton mix project to fill the gaps.

JJ MC and Chimpo laid down sparse vocals to tie the tracks together and Logan came through with some serious bars over M4. 

 I hope that anyone who listens takes the time to appreciate the journey that the mix takes you on!"

Leftlow’s ‘Distractions’ is a thought-provoking Mini LP which is the London-based duo's largest body of work to date and sees them welcomed to dBridge's iconic label, Exit Records.

Dedicated to the late Bailey Churchill, these tracks are filled with prophetic sounds alluding to an apocalyptic destiny, evoking deep and complex thoughts about the world around us.
