Very pleased to have got my set back from Gottwood Festival 2019  :-)  This year was an extra special event with it being Gottwood's tenth bday, and it turned out to be a gig to match the occasion; the rain worked in my favour and Ricky's Disco was rammed and going off from the first track..... definitely my favourite time playing there to date! BIG thanks to Tom and the crew for having me as always, such a magic festival, it's an honour to be a part of it ❤️

Avenue Red welcomes Prakash, an experienced DJ and producer from the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, one of the Canary Islands about 150 kilometres off the northwestern coast of Africa. Prakash is a very knowledgeable guy and has been collecting music and spinning for almost 15 years, along the way releasing stacks of masterful mixtapes and playing at some interesting gigs internationally, as well as at home. He also turned his hand to music production and running his own vinyl label, Travellin Music, where he has featured on the only release to date with a remix from Vancouver tech house legend Jay Tripwire.

Prakash is a true cross-genre DJ, but it's clear to see his strong focus on the 90's/early 2000's tech house sounds from the origin of the genre. He lists among his Music idols: Craig Richards, Terry Francis, Steve Bug, Mike Huckaby, ZIP, Move D, Kerri Chandler, Nathan Coles, Bushwacka! and Silverlining AKA Asad Rizvi. That list makes for a tidy aperitif for what's in store in this presentation, his glowing CD-length mix for Avenue Red.

For the 52nd edition we head stateside for a deep and dubbed out house and techno workout from O’Keef.

With a pedigree stretching back to the early 90’s O’Keef played a vital role in pushing house music within Philadelphia's local rave scene and after a long break away from things has been quietly reasserting himself on the local scene to a new generation of clubbers in recent years.

His production credits include work with his long time collaborator Rob Paine as “Circle" on the Leftroom, Worship Recordings and Dubwise imprints

For our team Terry Francis is one of the key artists who gave us musical basis and united us long before we become the promo group.
“His sleek fusion of techno and house made him a top British DJ, but Terry Francis has also helmed a series of solid productions, both as Housey Doingz (with Nathan Coles) and under his own name. Based in Croydon, Francis worked at the Swag record store and began DJing an irresistible blend of electro-techno and earthy house during the early '90s. His Wiggle clubnight gained fans around the country, and was eventually spun into a label as well. With Wiggle compatriot Coles, he recorded one of the label's early club hits, Housey Doingz' Piano EP. The like-minded househeads at Pagan Records (founded by House of 909) offered him a full-length deal, which brought Housey Doingz' Loving It album in mid-1997. Francis also recorded singles for Checkpoint and Surreal, and debuted an ongoing mix series Architecture in early 1998. The album also earned release in America, courtesy of Ark 21. By the end of the year, the second volume of Architecture appeared on Pagan.” (c) John Bush
