To this day, I consider this tune to be one of my best. Unfortunately it never came out despite being slated for release on Resolute Music (sister label of the seminal DNAudio). It got played by none other than Noisia on BBC Radio 1 and also received support from some of the biggest names in the business including the legendary Ed Rush and Optical.

Anthology MiniMix - 2008

It's been 10 years since the release of this tune. My first full solo 12" on the legendary New Zealand based label Cyanide Recordings. Put so much work into this and listening back today, it brings back so many memories of grinding away in the studio.

I was asked by Revolution Recordings to remix Sunchase's beast 'Eye Witness' many years back but I had just moved into a new apartment with new acoustics and had trouble getting my groove on and putting my stamp of originality into a remix. 

Recently I stumbled upon all the stems and decided to have another crack at it for fun. It still needs a tiny bit of work but I'm happy with how it's turning out so far!

This is one the projects I had to do at /University. Every sound was processed from my voice as the sole source of recorded material. The piece was actually mixed in 5.1 surround sound and sounds insane.

Here's a track I mixed and mastered for my good homie Tew AKA @Drumcatcher many years ago. Using separate analog outboard tube compression units on subs, main drum line, and melodic elements.  Manley Pultec EQ, Lexicon MPX550 and Aphex Aural Exciter on the dedicated percussion output. Mixed outside the box on a Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro (made in USA). I have upgraded my gear significantly since then.

You can definitely hear the added analog warmth and presence as well that bass pressure.

As a solo artist and as one half of the duo 'Fortress', his tracks have received major support from some of the industry’s biggest outfits including Noisia, Teebee, Ed Rush and Optical, Klute, Total Science, Break, Loxy, Hybris, Xtrah, C4C, Concord Dawn, State of Mind and many, many more. 

The New Zealand born dual national has toured in Europe and the US, playing before crowds of over 3000 and collaborated with such artists as Mayhem, Loxy, Nphect and Dizplay, Raiden, and Catacomb. He was also recently appointed the position of Label Manager for Full Force Recordings. If you are lucky enough to see him behind the decks, expect to hear nothing but the freshest dubplates from the scene's heaviest hitters, as well as his own unique brand of futuristic funk.
