Finally, a new, true Doering, whose other name Dirty is something of a fake-out: “I Would” captivates the listener with clean, maximum minimal beauty, in typical Doering style. The melodies swing gentle as a cradle, the beats take effect in a supporting role and the vocals, though sparsely deployed, complete the demand for inner harmony. Marcus Meinhardt up to? He lays a hint of boom behind the track, plays with the curiosity created by delay, and garnishes the whole thing with a few more sound delights.
Acid Pauli, well, he does what Acid Pauli must do: lengthening the track to almost ten minutes, he builds a myriad of levels for psychoactive play, slowly pushing the track to its apex and slowly bringing it back, so that it can almost go without the guiding vocals.
With the digital Bonus Remix by Matthew Styles, the tempo gets yet another push. He loses the vocals altogether, mixes in a pinch of ambient and deftly puts the focus on the hypnotic undertow of the track, holding it for a full 19 minutes.

For our 6th release, we dug out what many claim to be one of the best Progressive tracks ever, having been included on none other than James Holden's seminal Balance 005. Remixing such a timeless classic is no easy task, one we faithfully entrusted to Israeli prodigy Guy J, who delivered a dance-floor weapon of epic proportions!

Subtract Music is a Los Angeles-based record label, event producer, and artist collective that has shaped the West Coast’s electronic music landscape since 2011. Founded by Anton Tumas and a small circle of like-minded friends, Subtract was built as a platform for forward-thinking artists—emerging and established alike—driven by a belief in music that lasts beyond the moment.

The label’s debut, Black Rock City by a then-rising DAVÍ, paired with a remix from Robert Babicz, set the tone for its identity: atmospheric, meticulous, and unconcerned with trends. From there, Subtract followed a deliberately measured path, curating a catalog that spans deep house, techno, and electronica. As producer of the Love Long Beach Festival, the collective helps draw over 10,000 attendees annually, balancing cutting-edge programming with a strong sense of community. Subtract sound systems have powered some of LA’s most respected underground gatherings and set new benchmarks for immersive audio at Black Rock City.
