As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

We've assembled an all-star crew of artists to remix an incredible original by Active Child. Everyone truly brought their A-game, and the results speak for themselves. Many timeless dance floor moments are sure to come from this release. MDK is a new project by someone responsible for some of the most iconic tracks in the past 10 years. The man behind it is none other than Matthew Dekay (@MatthewDekay). Joining him is another legend, known for his emotional and unique approach, someone taking a no-compromise approach to production and sound quality, a man that needs no introduction - @Stimming.

As chance would have it, a couple more of our dear friends wanted to join this project, upon hearing about it, quickly turning it into a mini-album. @Dave-DK's Pacific Ride is a melodic journey, while his stripped down Topanga Dub goes into darker territory. This one will be right at home in the desert or a warehouse, just the way we like it. @Pablo-Bolivar rounds things out with a serious four to the floor jam, alongside a nostalgic ambient version that serves as a perfect closer to this remix EP.

As part of the duo - Lexy & K-Paul - and due to collaboration with - Sascha Braemer - “Niconé“ is without a doubt among the most successful artists of the electronic music scene. With a hefty back catalog of releases and an ever-evolving style, Berlin mainstay Niko Schwind dives into his introspective side on the Amari EP, which boasts four original tracks including a collab with DJ, producer and vocalist Felix Raphael.

Opener Circles is a tangle of dreamy pads and wistful vocals, with gleaming synths and undulating drums complementing Felix Raphael’s pensive lyrical incantations.

A walk on the tribal side, Kala combines introspective melodies with relentless percussion. Indigenous chants accent the mystic rave atmosphere, building up to an immersive, hypnotizing climax. Equally mesmerizing, but channeling a more constant energy is Amari, taking us on a dynamic journey with occasional bursts of sonic color. Zugvögel is a laidback track that builds slowly, adding subtle layers of cosmic melody with psychedelic vocals and a deep, mind-bending bassline, rounding off the release in a contemplative fashion.

Premiere: El Mundo & Zazou - All Along The Way [Souq Records]

Subtract Music is a record label, event production and an artist collective based in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 2011, it has quickly become a leading force in the Los Angeles underground electronic music scene.

The label was founded by Anton Tumas, who with a small group of friends, shared a passion for the underground electronic music, and desired to create a platform for up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent. The label’s first release titled “Black Rock City” featured an original by DAVÍ, and remixes from Robert Babicz and Deepfunk. The release got substantial attention in the electronic music community.

Since then, Subtract Music has continued to release a wide range of music, from deep house to techno and beyond, with a slow but steady release schedule. It has secured remixes from heavyweights such as John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Stimming, Matthew Dekay and others. The label also hosts successful events in Los Angeles and beyond, featuring live performances from both established and emerging artists.

In addition to its record releases and events, Subtract Music also runs a successful sound rental operation, providing well-tuned and crystal-clear audio for many of LA’s leading underground events and promoters. On top of that, their sound systems at Black Rock City Desert, Nevada have become the talk of the town.

Today, Subtract Music remains dedicated to supporting and promoting underground electronic music, and continues to be a leading force in the Los Angeles scene.
