The Italian Resistance - music against the virus, is a compilation whose sole purpose is to help those who need it right now. All our proceeds will therefore be donated to the Italian Red Cross, engaged in the battle against the Coronavirus, Covid19.

We want to thank all the artists who contributed to this charity initiative with their music.

Oliver has cut his teeth as an artist in London’s clubs and warehouses, born from within the capital's neglected walls and spaces. His sonic interests lay in a non-purist approach, a resistance against convention. With previous releases on labels such as Oraculo Records & Mosaique Records, 2023 marks the birth of his own imprint, launching with a six track compilation by various artist, setting the tone for the label.

Francesco Visconti, better known as VSK, is an Italian techno dj and producer, born in Rome and based in Berlin.He has got familiar to different forms of techno, his style ranging from a sound usually hard and dark, often with industrial influences, to a very different one, deeper and more mental, both still easily recognizable as coming from the same mind.

He began an education as an audio-engineer and sound-designer, in music and especially in television; currently he does this alongside his artistic career.

Over the years he has released music on many other important labels such as “47”, “Perc Trax”, “Modularz”,”Mord”, “EarToGround”,”Genesa”, “ Planet Rhythm”, also with some great collaboratiom, fisrt of all with the Serbian artist Scalameriya, with Giorgio Gigli and Conrad Van Orton.
Currently he has been handling the label “CRS ltd”.

Keepsakes, the alias of British-New Zealand producer and DJ James Barrett, has been a strong and distinctive voice in techno since rising to fame through his Stygian Concrete Works and Weapons Grade Manic EPs back in 2014. Since then he has showcased his powerful and menacing, yet often cheeky and playful, productions on influential labels including South London Analogue Material, Perc Trax, MORD, Earwiggle and KAOS.
Furthermore, he founded the Haven club night alongside Jaded Nineties Raver in Tāmaki Maraukau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand) in 2015 - aiming to introduce clubbers to the experimental and harder side of techno in a city completely devoid of
this music. In 2018 Haven also expanded into a vinyl-focused record label - going on to release many leading international artists including VTSS, Tommy Holohan, New Frames, Peder Mannerfelt, Ayarcana, Ansome, and Ryan James Ford, as well as becoming the main home for Barrett’s own productions.
Now located in Ōtautahi, Aotearoa (Christchurch, New Zealand) - following several years in Berlin hitting the European club circuit - he is focused on bringing his tough and eclectic sound to dance floors worldwide, with regular appearances at international techno institutions providing a platform for his formidable DJ sets.

With a sound as unique as her name, Wvalaam klous is a writer, producer, and concept artist from Liverpool UK, who experiments with expressive forms of writing and avant-garde sound design. Blending EBM, noise, and nowave, Wvalaam klous has crafted a singular sonic identity that spans dark electronics to brutalist noise. Her creative output reflects a fusion of ideas, from the written word she scripts to the textured audio she sculpts. wvalaam klous has shared her visionary work with underground labels like Crave Tapes, Phage Tapes, and The Brvtalist, carving out her own niche at the cutting edge of experimental electronic music. With an unconventional approach shaped by her multifaceted talents, Wvalaam klous immerses listeners in her immersive aural worlds.

Noirnor, born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine, kickstarted her DJ career in the vibrant Eastern European nightlife scene. After the Russian invasion, she relocated to Berlin, playing at prestigious venues like Tresor/Globus, Watergate, HÖR, Renate, Refuge Worldwide etc. 
Currently she is also a resident of the World’s leading underground music station Rinse FM (UK).

Noirnor’s eclectic taste can be represented by a wide range of styles: from the infectious grooves of house and breakbeat to the hypnotic rhythms of electro, tech house, and the undeniable energy of bassline. 

Her sets tell stories and express energy, featuring a deep, soulful, and mental sound that captivates listeners.

Noirnor’s love for both vinyl and digital formats provides a unique twist to her performances, while her recent venture into music production promises a fresh sonic journey ahead.

Born in the southside of Italy in the late 90s and based in Berlin nowadays, Navi’s rooty step goes down to reggae, funky beats, and psychedelic in his childhood. Born and raised in northern Italy, xMachina’s already deeply rooted passion for electronic music exploded with his move to London in 2019. Inspired by the city’s scene, he joined his university’s DJ collective just before the pandemic, developing a taste for UK sounds from breakbeat to 90s drum and bass. It wasn’t until after the pandemic that his tight relationship with techno began, driven by an obsession with the grooves and textures of its more deep and raw facets. 

In some respects moving against the current of London’s techno scene, increasingly pushing towards faster and harder music, xMachina has made of his love for the interplay between textural depth and energetic grooves his signature. Having performed in notable venues such as fabric, E1, Corsica Studios and as a support act for Mischa Fanghaenel’s NACHTS, his taste for techno has not gone unnoticed.

In addition to his work behind the decks, xMachina’s gratitude towards London’s student DJ community and his desire to help other young artists stand out has brought him to start Unity Sound, a community and platform showcasing talented student selectors in some of London’s high-profile venues. His passion for creation has also brought him closer to the world of production, with unreleased work being supported by the likes of Tapefeed at fabric and Tresor.

Sies is an Italian-born DJ and producer who launched his own label, Scraps Records, in 2018. Bringing a raw, hypnotic sound to the techno scene, his rhythmic sets are infused with deep, driving grooves that exude pure adrenaline, taking listeners on an intense, immersive journey. 
Known for his minimalist yet artistic approach, Sies' work captures an original view of techno, where fears are forgotten and stress is released, making every moment on the dancefloor unforgettable.

Binny is a techno DJ/Producer from Liverpool, UK and has released records on Symbolism, Monnom Black, CLFT, Orbis, Suburban Avenue, Forte Techno, Demarcation and Flatlife Deep. In 2012 his debut solo release on Orbis Records entitled “Sub Space EP” was shortly followed by “No Surrender EP” and “Explorer EP”. These three releases defined the tough, old-school and Detroit-influenced sound which Binny is known for. 

He is also a member of the Phantom Planet Outlaws with John Heckle and Mark Forshaw, a union which has produced EPs on both Tabernacle and Apartment Records and a remix for One Electronica.

Suburban Mix 013 - Binny

The 050th of weekly Mix show of Suburban Avenue

Born in Oviedo (Asturias) in 1981, Reeko is a dj who has rapidly attained the recognition other artists have taken a long time to gain. In his case it’s not been a matter of chance or coincidence, but the result of his innate and incredible capacity to be prolific, alongside his obsession for perfection. He marks is his birth as a dj about 1997, but it wasn’t until his first release in 2002 under the Swedish label Emergence that he became known professionally.
There is no need to name all the aliases that Juan Rico has used to release the diverse artistic sensations which flow from him, but these are characteristic which define his personality and are a part of REEKO himself. Producing and performing under different names allows him to concentrate fully on each individual event by devoting himself completely to an idea or style to which he is totally faithful, putting aside for a moment sounds and influences that don’t belong in the particular character which he is mutating into at the time.
The result is a knock out. Under the name of REEKO he has released huge techno productions which have charted and been played by the best djs in the world, right from the first tracks and EPs for labels as reputable as Theory, Main out, Integrale Muzique, Deafmosaic, Inceptive, Rxxistance, Trece Records, Symbolism, Planet Rhythm, Warm up or Palicavonzvreca. 
Reeko created Mental Disorder, his “pathological” label/laboratory, in 2003 under which he has released 12 works of ever increasing quality. The latest (The Day After, 2010) received a wonderfully warm welcome as one of the best releases in Hispanic Techno of the year. Artists such as Gennaro le fosse, Pacou, Oscar Mulero have collaborated with his very personal label.
Next came the label Evidence in 2005, where he opens up to his passion for the darkest and sickest part of the human mind. He looks deep within the human psyche where most of us would never go or dare explore. That is where the laconic, aggressive and totally sweeping sound that characterises him stems from. Reputable artists who have published with Evidence are Function, Paul Bailey and Trolley Route, to name a few.
The story so far reaches a climax when Reeko joins the cream of techno: the PoleGroup, formed in 2008. On the frontline of this group is Oscar Mulero, indisputable leader of the darkest Iberian techno, joined by the Asturian duo Exium and the surprising and experienced Christian Wünsch. The most recent addition to this team is Architectural, someone who will give us lots and lots to talk about.

Reeko finds himself, unexpectedly but deservedly, among the elite of Hispanic techno.

Velvet May is an italian and Berlin-based artist focused on Electronic Body Music, post-punk, industrial and Techno textures. The project was born in late 2018 and had his debut with “Vast As Black Night” EP released on his label “Tears On Waves” and that already received important supports from many artists of the scene like Ancient Methods, Phase Fatale, Paula Temple, Violet Poison, The Hacker, Philipp Strobel, Mannequin’s Alessandro Adriani, NX1, Umwelt and many more. 

Velvet May makes his music go around aspects like love, liberation and pleasure and he does it in the stark drama of his living mind. There a no simplifications, everything is translated without polishings and shades, but with respect to his real essence.
