Benouze invites Isleā in "House is not dead", his groovy residency on Line Out !

Isleā is the intimate alias of MZA, a Parisian producer and DJ. Here, the tempo is gentler, carried by a warm and immersive groove. Supple bass lines, light percussion, and carefully crafted textures come together to create an energy full of emotion. Isleā retains MZA's curious and experimental spirit, but expresses it in a brighter and more accessible form, tailored for moments when music becomes a space for sharing and connection.

A prominent figure in the Parisian scene, DJ and producer MZA excels both in DJ sets and live performances. Making waves in clubs across the country (Rex Club, Virage, Cabaret Sauvage, La Machine du Moulin Rouge, Macadam, Le Sucre, Le Bikini, Slalom...), she delivers her fast-paced, bouncy, and trippy universe, blending techno influences with modern styles.

After two EPs on Maison Close and Extra Energy, 2024 marks a turning point as MZA launches her series of singles, the Z Series, highlighting the various genres and collaborations she explores. Similar to a label, the singles will be interconnected and reflect her musical universe, vivid and unconventional. She also collaborates with numerous European labels such as Hotmeal Records or MUSA, playing in clubs accross Europe such as RSO Belrin, Rote Sonne in Munich, U&G Hambourg, , Basement in Copenhagen or the Lofi Amsterdam..). Engaged in the queer community, her track «Your Love» is featured on the Barbi(e)turix compilation among 20 female artists in electronic music (Chloé, Olympe4000, Belaria, Minuit Machine...). She actively participates in sharing her expertise through Ableton workshops exclusively for women, with collectives like @_connecther.

DJ, producer, and artistic director of the Kluster label and collective, Benouze (aka oMe who ran "Electro-Nirique" show during last season on Line Out), offers a new House residency to express all the love he feels for this timeless genre.

In Benouze’s own words :

“It still grooves, it still makes you sweat, it still warms hearts and gets arms raised. And that’s exactly why I’m launching this residency. House music was my first crush. It’s raw, accessible, a little cheeky, and it opened all kinds of doors for me: techno, Italo, and dark disco… But deep down, it always comes back to house. Because nothing beats a good track that gives you chills from the very first notes, puts a huge smile on your face, and sweeps you up in the collective communion of the dance floor.

In this residency, I want to bring back that solar, unfiltered energy, to remind people that Chicago House, with its pianos, heart-wrenching disco diva vocals, and dirty, raw grooves that crackle like sparks, is still very much alive. And even if we hear it less in Parisian nightclubs, it continues to burn thanks to passionate artists, and I want to give them all the space they deserve. Behind the turntables, I am expressive, sunny, always looking for that tipping point where everyone dances together, without restraint.

That’s exactly what I want to convey here: a residency that smiles, dances, communicates, and makes people feel good. In short, it’s a declaration of love. A bubble of raw groove and warmth, a space to rekindle the flame and remind everyone that, damn it, this music will never die. »
