Before meeting and creating Sub Imperium in mid-2019, with the express purpose of their first show together, the members had been playing and producing independently for ten years. The creative symbiosis has served to create their own signature sound that transcends styles and, as they themselves say, "their music comes from somewhere in techno, and it tends to be dynamic and edgy, accented by a dark sound." The team has already made their mark with their hybrid live shows at the Inwine event series, RAF25, Blank's Big Rave, Abbey, Monasterio and m_division. 

Sub Imperium has ten albums under their belt and one work ,in CD format, released on a French label. Also vinyl works will be released this year.

Hybral is a non-binary DJ and producer who is drawn to everything that’s dark. They mix and produce eerie drones, haunting industrial techno, noisy driven sounds and dystopian atmospheres - ranging from contemplative cinematic ambient to rough, fast and uncompromising hard techno - capturing feelings of anger, anxiety, chaos, fear, tension and pain. 

Hybral is also founder of the queer label and event series SUBVERTED. SUBVERTED curates queer parties with equally queer line-ups, showcasing non-binary, trans and female identifying DJs and producers focusing on industrial techno infused with dark drones, noise, EBM and hypnotic techno. The intention of the platform is to lead the scene back to its roots of diversity and social justice. SUBVERTED stands in resistance to the personality cult and intends to put the focus back on music and community building.

Hybral is resident DJ for DURCH and SUBVERTED. They are releasing on labels like The Brvtalist, Vast Perception, Gegen, Pure Hate 000 and in the future on Sacred Court and Noise Manifesto. Hybral’s tracks are being supported by Paula Temple, SNTS, Tommy Four Seven and Tham.

Hybral is a Berlin based non-binary DJ and producer focusing on the darker side of electronic music, ranging from contemplative cinematic ambient and more introspective and slower ritualistic leaning techno to rough, fast, industrial and uncompromising hard techno - capturing feelings of anger, anxiety, chaos, fear, tension, desire and pain. 
Through layering dark, driving, distorted and seductive beats with trembling textures, dystopian soundscapes and hauntingly eerie atmospheres, Hybral not only increases the intensity and energy throughout their sets towards the end, but also shows a different side of hard and industrial techno that is more inward looking, evolving and mind-bending while still maintaining the hard hitting sound experience. 
By using awry harmonies and chaotic noise, Hybral intends to express how queerness disrupts and reorders norms by not following accepted paths and normative sound aesthetics. Their tracks shake listeners into a state of hypnosis, disorientation and ask to question ourselves and our position in society. Alarming timbres, modulated ominous atmospheres and distorted kick drums, noisy and in reverberation immersed percussions evoke the power and necessity of movement and destruction as a source of change.

We curate queer sex-positive parties with equally queer line-ups, featuring mostly non-binary and trans DJs. Our aim is to platform artists with gender identities that are under-represented in the music industry, showing that it is possible to have more inclusive and diverse booking practices without a decrease in musical quality, but in fact with an increase by bringing new and previously unheard perspectives to the dance floor.

Discovering and nurturing new talent is at the very essence of SUBVERTED. We stand in resistance to the homogenisation and sanitisation to which the techno industry has been subjected in recent years via formulaic, easily-digested productions and repetitive line-ups, and intend to continue opening the industry's gates for a new generation of artists that are pushing their own unique and fresh take on dark industrial techno.
