Materialising in the dank, unruly pockets of Australia’s warehouse rave scene, Tred now resides deep in Neukölln, Berlin, where he has sharpened a focus on his own narrative of modern club culture, identity and high powered techno weapons.

Cheeky, uncompromising and driven by an unrelenting tempo are common traits of a Tred set. This no bullshit approach has drawn the attention of the provocative Munich based queer collective Bottom Topixxx where he takes up residency. Whether it’s peak time at Säule or a closing set at Tresor, his sets emit restless energy that show little regard for genre definitions, assertively blending any style that he is entertained by. It’s rapid body music with an emotive tinge, all mixed with a flair that celebrates classic rave nostalgia, tribal groove and contemporary dance-floor burners.

A similar style emerges when you look into the growing back catalogue of Tred’s studio productions. Having had selected works pressed across imprints such as Lobster Theremin, 1Ø PILLS MATE, E-Missions, and Amniote Editions, what becomes obvious is his ability to capture the energy of many influences. Head-strong in approach, 2021 will see a number of debut’s further his sonic sensibilities.

Hybral is a Berlin-based non-binary DJ and producer drawn to eerie energetic industrial techno. They mix and produce haunting techno, EBM, and noisy-driven experimental sounds. Hybral's productions are made of dark atmospheric patterns linked with pushing percussions and basslines as well as heavily distorted kicks and harsh industrial noises. Mixing DJ sets the track selection is ranging from contemplative ambient to stern and fast techno -  connecting vast influences from Hybral's personal experiences of spending days and nights on Berlin's dancefloors.

Es un artista con experiencia en la industria de la música electrónica, un DJ/Productor inspirado en artistas de renombre mundial como Paco Osuna, Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, Chris Liebing, Oscar Mulero, Lewis Fautzi entre otros. Su creatividad, valentía y búsqueda incansable de nuevas formas de expresión son algunas de sus principales y constantes virtudes a la hora de hacer música. En la pista de baile es inteligente, sofisticado y tiene un profundo conocimiento de la estética sonora. Cada sesión es importante para él, ya que se propone inventar y renovar cada vez que sube al escenario, con una elección abrumadora por la variedad y accesibilidad de la música electrónica que ofrece, donde la calidad es lo más importante y la experiencia íntima es inolvidable. We curate queer sex-positive parties with equally queer line-ups, featuring mostly non-binary and trans DJs. Our aim is to platform artists with gender identities that are under-represented in the music industry, showing that it is possible to have more inclusive and diverse booking practices without a decrease in musical quality, but in fact with an increase by bringing new and previously unheard perspectives to the dance floor.

Discovering and nurturing new talent is at the very essence of SUBVERTED. We stand in resistance to the homogenisation and sanitisation to which the techno industry has been subjected in recent years via formulaic, easily-digested productions and repetitive line-ups, and intend to continue opening the industry's gates for a new generation of artists that are pushing their own unique and fresh take on dark industrial techno.
