JASSASS is a techno DJ and producer who expresses his past experiences of discrimination and racism through his hard-hitting, industrial sound and uses music as therapy and a voice to stand against injustice
Recently he release EP on Paula Temple's label Noise Manifesto His concept EP, Breaking Barriers, is a poignant emotional journey that explores the struggles of refugees and their fight for a better future. Each track vividly captures a particular experience and culminates in a call to action against oppression, war, and nationalism. Breaking Barriers inspires listeners to create positive change and break free from the barriers of the prison we are all in.

Not letting up the gas on episode 004 of The Techno Files, a podcast showcasing the golden era of techno that drove me hard from the late 90s through the mid-2000s. All tracks are remastered hifi encodings from my personal vinyl library.

Consider this an extension to the last episode with equal intensity, with more tracks from “High Heel Techno” as well as my 2002 followup “No Carrier” with most tracks falling between 2000 and 2002.

We curate queer sex-positive parties with equally queer line-ups, featuring mostly non-binary and trans DJs. Our aim is to platform artists with gender identities that are under-represented in the music industry, showing that it is possible to have more inclusive and diverse booking practices without a decrease in musical quality, but in fact with an increase by bringing new and previously unheard perspectives to the dance floor.

Discovering and nurturing new talent is at the very essence of SUBVERTED. We stand in resistance to the homogenisation and sanitisation to which the techno industry has been subjected in recent years via formulaic, easily-digested productions and repetitive line-ups, and intend to continue opening the industry's gates for a new generation of artists that are pushing their own unique and fresh take on dark industrial techno.
