Carm Routes is a vigorous and fearless disc-jockey. He mixes Industrial musical styles since his first rave parties, back in 2019. Nowadays he shares his passion and music at pop-up events in Switzerland. Loving to mix in collaboration with other artists, his main goal is to allow his public to free their energy in the rhythm of his music while being guided by powerful vibrations. To accomplish this, he dares to use tracks that qualify as dynamic, supersensible, and even obscure…

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Hedon. "Apocatastasis" comes off the new EP, The Hedonic Treadmill, forthcoming on Vumantra. Rituals give weight to our days. They break the blur of life’s constant rush and remind us what matters. In a world that keeps pushing us forward, chasing what never lasts, rituals help us stop, breathe, and feel alive. They’re like a small death to the endless grind — a way of stepping off the treadmill, even just for a
moment.

The Hedonic Treadmill is a raw reflection on the chaos of modern life — a world addicted to speed, stimulation, greed, and endless craving. It’s a descent into the kafkaesque fast-frenetic world of consumerism and hijacked attention spans that we live in, striving to turn noise into signal. Blending dark industrial techno with ritualistic textures, Buddhist undercurrents, and the pulse of Moroccan folklore, the EP explores the tension between synthetic systems and ancestral memory. From warped mantras to distorted rhythms, each track spirals deeper into the mess — sometimes meditative, sometimes violent, seeking cleansing driven by storytelling and culminating in a cinematic climax.

We curate queer sex-positive parties with equally queer line-ups, featuring mostly non-binary and trans DJs. Our aim is to platform artists with gender identities that are under-represented in the music industry, showing that it is possible to have more inclusive and diverse booking practices without a decrease in musical quality, but in fact with an increase by bringing new and previously unheard perspectives to the dance floor.

Discovering and nurturing new talent is at the very essence of SUBVERTED. We stand in resistance to the homogenisation and sanitisation to which the techno industry has been subjected in recent years via formulaic, easily-digested productions and repetitive line-ups, and intend to continue opening the industry's gates for a new generation of artists that are pushing their own unique and fresh take on dark industrial techno.
