Born from a pool of piss in some filthy darkroom corner, Queen Chlamydia the III Infection of the United Kingdom of Cock, Ass, Mouth, and Pussy (or simply CHLAMYDIA) makes her SUBVERTED debut. 

CHLAMYDIA began her journey as a drag creature of the night while working behind the bar and on stage at Monster Ronson's Ichiban Karaoke in Berlin, and discovered the local techno scene upon joining the bar team in Berghain.

During Germany's second lockdown in 2020, she started experimenting with industrial techno in an attempt to express her drag aesthetic through sound and to stay connected with the energy of Berlin's nightlife until we can dance together, spit in each other's mouths, and give each other STDs on the dance floor again.

The sound of CHLAMYDIA stems from Berghain. Here, she developed an interest in techno but not as a wild-eyed Sunday morning raver. In 2019, she joined the Big B’s bar team, but she began experimenting with DJing herself when clubs closed due to the C-word. After months of exploring different speeds and styles, she found her nook in dark, industrial and outright infernal techno-led textures. Supplying a scintillating mix of raw and demonic sounds, CHLAMYDIA shares her vision of Hell with us but don’t worry—it’s a never-ending party.

Mhoax is a Parisian producer and DJ member of Mute collective and Initiatives Studio.

We curate queer sex-positive parties with equally queer line-ups, featuring mostly non-binary and trans DJs. Our aim is to platform artists with gender identities that are under-represented in the music industry, showing that it is possible to have more inclusive and diverse booking practices without a decrease in musical quality, but in fact with an increase by bringing new and previously unheard perspectives to the dance floor.

Discovering and nurturing new talent is at the very essence of SUBVERTED. We stand in resistance to the homogenisation and sanitisation to which the techno industry has been subjected in recent years via formulaic, easily-digested productions and repetitive line-ups, and intend to continue opening the industry's gates for a new generation of artists that are pushing their own unique and fresh take on dark industrial techno.
