Unhuman is the Berlin-based electronic and experimental project of Manos Simotas. 

Started in 2012 in Athens with his first release "Emperor Black"on tape, Unhuman evolved through different genres ultimately finding his own unique voice in experimental and dark electronics. Keeping his root in post-punk, Unhuman released on labels such as Instruments Of Discipline, Veleno Viola, BITE, Amok Tapes and Strange Therapy. 

A regular mainstay of major clubs in Berlin, Unhuman has performed all around Europe, Asia and South America and holds the artist in residency at Constant Value in Seoul, South Korea.

Unhuman is also the founder of Liber Null Berlin, which has played a critical role of unifying the freedom of arts in a conceptual event in the scene and also operates as a record label. Expanding beyond Berlin, Liber Null held events with performance arts and music all around the world including Athens, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul and beyond.

Maedon’s sound is dark, heavy and exciting, a unique hybrid of industrial techno and EBM with a touch of rave. She is driven by a fierce, relentless passion for the music.
A wizard in the studio, Maedon is known for her all-gear live sets, which are must-see events where dance floors become mesmerized by the collage of irresistible electronics and pounding grooves. Her background was in the industrial scene, and these influences are absorbed into her sound.

Since her arrival in Europe, she has settled in smoothly, with a flurry of releases that include a track for the Belgium label Deviate, and also some remix work, appearing on Berlin labels Aufnahme + Wiedergabe, Dream Baby Dream and the Brooklyn boutique label Synthicide. 

Her new dark and futuristic album is now out on Sonic Groove (@sonic-groove-records): Maedon crafts some very melodic jams, with refreshing song structure and storytelling trips achieved through excellent sample work and programming prowress. Make no mistake, this is fghting music. It's blazing hard, with grueling energy, and a fair for the dramatic. Maedon likes relevant content, as tracks like “Rave-Act Never Forget” expose pathetic pledges from poser politicians who have dared to protest against the dance music scene in their past. You have been exposed Biden. The madness continues with the menacing “Destroyer of Worlds”, a massive rave jam with otherworldly synths based around the words of a certain man’s famously guilty post-atomic quote from the Hindu scripture known as the Bhagavad Gita. It's a reminder of your sins, Oppenheimer.
The selection continues to concoct clever experiments with pressure and feels at times like riding a roller coaster thru outer space “Destroy the Status Quo” with subtly pitch-shifting metallic highs and ravey tone-work captivates the mind as gravity drops jerk the body into uncontrollable motion. “Rudersdorf Trip” is a sick adventure into the darkness, with whispered vocals ‘this is what you want this what you need’ leading the charge of hypnotic, spiraling acid. “Childhood dreams” is an excellent ending to the LP, an innovative melodic charmer with nostalgic future vibes pumped up by a broken techno beat.
In truth, all the tracks stand out; a solid efort from start to fnish. It serves as a lesson in production for her peers. She enjoys the process, creating a chance for all to dance away their pain. For Maedon, our ears are like trophies to collect. no one is safe.

UNREALNUMBERS is a rising South Korean talent and leading role of the new techno generation in Korea. 

It was in London, the city where he grew up, that he met the underground techno scene. His industrial music production, EBM and noise stood out early during his schooling. In 2014, he started to draw inspiration from his various trips between London and Berlin to assert his sound design. The producer also manages his own label “UN LABEL CORP”, aiming for raw power on the dance floor as well as a dark and dystopian aesthetic.

UNREALNUMBERS sound palette encompasses not only intense rave tunes for the dance floor, but also subtle ambient, percussion manipulations, and delicate emotional expressions that listeners didn’t expect.

Full throttle through dystopian cybertech soundscapes with Barcelona-based duo NX1!

NX1 is a duo consisting of Surit and Samot - artists both based out of Barcelona. 

Formed at the end of 2011, they have devoted themselves to a trademark sonic imprint that moves between heavy memories of classic techno and more mental/psychedelic spaces in contemporary sound design. Known globally throughout the club circuit, their live and DJ sets meld together disparate styles into a rhythmic and raw, yet emotional, performance.

Futuristic aspects propel them forward, whilst also expressing modern challenges.

Nicki Black’s musical style is heavily influenced by their journey through the Goth and EBM scene of Berlin, which served as a starting point to their exploration of dark and experimental music genres such as Noise, Ambient and Industrial. 
They are now harnessing the essence of these genres and applying it to ritualistic Techno sets that follow the twists and turns of broken beats.

DYSPHORICA is a transgressive sound project that has industrial techno, ambient, noise, and distortion in mind. As a producer and DJ, she crafts raw, immersive, screamful and nostalgia-inducing tales that turn techno into a vessel for transformation. 

She was born out of a need to heal and within her selections and creations noise is not a disturbance but a liberation. DYSPHORICA uses her performance sets to play with the concepts of death and rebirth on stage, transcending the dancefloor and transporting audiences to alternate dimensions while exploring their intimacy.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Unhuman & Surit. The collaboration between the artists began in 2018 with a great 12" release on Black Sun Records. Unhuman, best known for his output on Bite, Instruments of Discipline, Liber Null, Veleno Viola and more has carved a unique sound oscillating between power electronics, techno, EBM, noise and beyond. Well known for being half of punishing techno project NX1, Surit has released solo material on Body Theory, Nicz and his own Nexe Records imprint. We curate queer sex-positive parties with equally queer line-ups, featuring mostly non-binary and trans DJs. Our aim is to platform artists with gender identities that are under-represented in the music industry, showing that it is possible to have more inclusive and diverse booking practices without a decrease in musical quality, but in fact with an increase by bringing new and previously unheard perspectives to the dance floor.

Discovering and nurturing new talent is at the very essence of SUBVERTED. We stand in resistance to the homogenisation and sanitisation to which the techno industry has been subjected in recent years via formulaic, easily-digested productions and repetitive line-ups, and intend to continue opening the industry's gates for a new generation of artists that are pushing their own unique and fresh take on dark industrial techno.
