Dutch legend Boris Werner joins the TSOL ranks with an EP that serves as a hell of a statement piece. The gritty hypnosis of No Tantrums gives way to a proper last-tune-of-the-festival in Ochtend Glunderen @ Wildeburg, while L.S.D. is the type of big room tackle that only someone with years of experience playing on those stages could deliver. Finally, the second EP from Mondo Phase Rec is out. Joining the catalog is another legend of electro/electroclash: Sneak-Thief. Half of the legendary Polygamy Boys, Michel has always stood out over the years with his retro-nostalgic melodies and electro-funk sound.

The vinyl consists of four solid tracks that serve as a litmus test for the entire musical journey. The record opens with ‘Fashion Victim,’ a classic electroclash track with a compelling vocoder as the main motif, followed by ‘All Let Go,’ a dub version of one of his historic pieces that remains incredibly relevant. It features an intense and hypnotic electro-funk bassline. The B-side kicks off with ‘Der Herzensbrecher,’ featuring drum breaks and futuristic melodies straight from the 80s. To conclude this journey, ‘In A Distorted Wonderland’ is the toughest and most introspective track, with sharp and paranoid leds, bringing us to the core of Sneak-Thief’s production.
