Firing up the next outing on Anthea’s Partisan label are two tracks from French producers; Smooth Operators, a fresh project made by Lamalice and Massaï. On the flip another two tracks produced by Lamalice alone.
As a pair they show their hand with some energetic peak time and spaced out moments in this “Split EP 2”, adhering to the refined underground ethos the label continues to push. These two artist are flying on an upwards trajectory, shining bright on the prolific Partisan imprint with their versatile and innovative productions. The 22nd release on Anthea’s sought after Partisan label comes from Dutch duo, PH Project. The Picnic Records affiliates have blossomed in recent times, and rightly so, their tight productions make them a firm favourite and the “Edge Of Impact” EP pays testament to this fact. Infectious club room energy that showcases not only their innovative sound, but their incredible chemistry as artists, an animated blend of low end leaning house and techno on the established Berlin label. 

Title track “Edge Of Impact” ignites the EP, a deep and chugging house groove brought to life with ice cold hi-hats, and mysterious synths. “Lostnation” is ripe and ready to roll, an enormous sound from the dynamic pair. 

First on the B side is “Such Doses”, rippling synths draw you in before lift off, punchy drums bringing emphatic energy to the dance floor. The aptly named “Oddjob” is the most curious of the release, the squelchy acid tones, and spaced out pads combined together make this a certainty for tastemakers record bags. The broken beats of “Radio Waves” ensure the EP is well rounded providing something for everyone, animated and emotive elements adding a new texture to the EP. 

pH Project turning out further exciting output, a statement release preparing you for what is to come in the years to follow.

LVCA steps up as the first artist on Anah and Lumiere's newly formed label Cymatix with a five tracker joining the dots between techno, synth pop and electro. 

Recorded between Barcelona and Toronto ‘Time Perceptions’ sees the Italian producer delve into his knowledge of 80’s hardware to assemble an EP that pays homage to the sound of early 2000’s synth pop influenced electro while retaining a contemporary feel and aesthetic.

Over the past few years LVCA has defined a sound that is instantly recognisable, distinctly dancefloor focused, and his latest EP displays a mastery of machines, finesse for synth-lines and TB-303 acid.

Smooth Waves, the names says it all. For this edition of the Conceptual Moods series we selected some smooth synthy tracks. Our longtime Irish mate ‘Thom’ introduces the VA with lush melancholic synths driven by a subtle proggy bassline. We are happy to facilitate his very first release. OG ‘Innershades’ provided us with a deep bleepy tune that obviously bangs as one expects of him. The B1 goes under the name of ‘Guilio Gastadello’. The Demo we received caught our attention, and we decided to release it because it fitted the concept perfectly. B.ai concludes the EP with a dreamy, yet groovy tune that perfectly suits the other tracks. We are very happy to have her on board.
