After releases on AC Records, Batrachian, Exalt and an astonishing debut album for Altered Sense — and his tunes being played by Bicep, Ralph Lawson and Anja Schneider — acid wizard MOY launches his own label, Dynamics Of Acid Records, with a fresh EP.

On ‘Initial Singularity’, he combines memorable synth melodies and addictive basslines with those spiralling acid riffs that have become a signature of his sound.

Lead/title track ‘Initial Singularity’ has a funked up break and meandering pads, while ‘Chrysopoeia’ is a wicked electro piece with dark glimmers of synth bass and crisp beats. ‘Orbit Cloud’ has a swung out, two-step garage rhythm and bittersweet minor key acid squidges, and closing track ‘Euphorbia’, sounds like a party up in some purple hued cloud city.

For the sixth iteration of the eight-part Astra Spectra series, Science Cult presents French Electro producer Fleck E.S.C with 5 IDM influenced electro bangers, including a remix by label co-founder Syrte.

Pressed on a limited run of blue vinyl, the colour and name of the EP correspond to Hydrogen on the Fraunhofer Absorption Spectrum of our sun.

Stefan Weise aka Syrte envisioned the “Astra Spectra” series as a celebration of mankind’s vision for space exploration, past and future, while also expressing a love for space science, science fiction and the spirit of discovery. Each release in the series is representative of a color frequency in our sun’s absorption spectrum and the element which is represented by that, hence the name, which means “Solar Spectrum”.
