Berlin-based label. Burial Soil proudly presents a collaborative electro album initiated by CYRK.
For their album „Freundschaft“ CYRK has collaborated with Steffi, Anthony Rother, Ravn Jonassen, JakoJako, Jensen Interceptor, Alienata, Nite Fleit and David Carretta.
Over the last few years electro has had a massive resurgence.
Since then, a new generation of producers has taken the genre under the microscope, recombining classic tropes and influences in new ways. CYRK is among the list of artists consistently pushing all things electro to new heights with forward thinking, dancefloor shattering and bass-heavy concoctions ready to turn your favorite club dance floor into a sea of spaced-out euphoria.
Early 2020, they decided to reach out to some of their producer friends as well as artists they’ve been admiring for years, to collaborate on tracks. As they see it, the electro scene is a very close-knit community and it felt more than appropriate to support each other this way.
A few emails were sent, a few calls made, and a list of heavy-hitters was assembled to exchange files and jam together remotely or in-person in CYRK’s basement studio: Klakson and Dolly label owner Steffi, Anthony Rother, Burial Soil label buddy Ravn Jonassen, JakoJako, Jensen Interceptor, Alienata, Nite Fleit and French veteran David Carretta.
BPMs are high on the eight tracks of “Freundschaft”, the end result of this collaborative process, incorporating various influences from electro-adjacent styles like italo, EBM or, unsurprisingly, techno.
The beautiful cover art was created by Oliver Sperl.

Helsmoortel is back with an EP on Belgian record label and AV party collective Ruis. (@ruis.tagram), this time the EP is available both digitally as  well as on vinyl. Anonyme Skulpturen consists of three tracks spanning over three different genres, the idea behind it is:

Anonyme Skulpturen (Anonymous Sculptures) is how Bernhard and Hilla Becher called architectural remnants of a bygone age. The couple's art is based on the idea that photography - itself a technical medium - can be used to elevate the relics of industrial culture to the status of art. This concept can be applied to the tracks I made for this EP. The three tracks represent genres that are 'out of date', but nevertheless remain timeless. Many of my influences that are heavily rooted in the nineties are still standing strong today.
