B1-A funky introduction

Jacopo Latini and Giammarco Orsini continue the Data Memory Access trajectory with the second outing on their eponymous label. Jacopo flies solo for this release, showcasing his innovative sound across four essential cuts within the “Echoes Of Tomorrow” EP. Gritty yet futuristic energy throughout, creating a beautiful balance between genres, teasing elements of techno, and electro, but still keeping the depth and emotion Latini’s productions have become synonymous with. Wandering between the distinctive and hypnotic moods of “Time Is Up” and the sought after “Nightfall”, in addition to the transcending yet punchy atmospheres of “Otherside” and “Electric Edge”.
This classy exploration from the Italian producer follows on from what has been a bright few years for Jacopo, as he has found himself sharing his music on a diverse selection of labels including Mood Waves (solo and as DMA), Innershades’ Altered Circuit, and as Data Memory Access, labels such as UK favourite, Craigie Knowes. The “Echoes Of Tomorrow” EP adds to this colourful back catalogue as Jacopo approaches what seemingly looks like the most prolific stages of his career this far.

For our 8th EP we bring you fresh works from the Venezuelan producer Log_In. He’s released on underground staples such Dance Floor Rituals, Art of Dark, and Partout, always delivering his own take on modern italo-disco infused techno music.

This time, Log_In presents three tracks which take heavy inspiration from the sound palettes of 90’s video games. A1, Cracking Code, is a driving yet nostalgic soundtrack for the early sunrise. A2, RFW, serves as the dazzling anthem in the midst of the night. B1, Modal, is a hi energy power track that is sure to get the crowd moving.

Gamine’s own Christian ties the EP together with a slick remix of the B1 track. Slightly more minimalistic than the original, this track is suited for any point of the night.

Summer is in the air, and Reflex Blue introduces his new personal imprint with a 4-track EP of groove-laden house music. Originating from his ever-evolving live set, the label focuses on releasing Blue’s tried, tested, and favourite jams. The record opens with a garage-leaning house roller featuring a rocking sub-bass, catchy drum work, and a unique fusion of 90s rave elements. The A2 track continues in a similar vein, primed for the festival beach stage with chopped ragga vocals, a warbling bass, and a playful organ solo. On the flip side, Reflex Blue expands the EP’s sonic palette with tracks that showcase his signature acid riffs and 90s homage stylings, layered over energised and skippy drum work. The record closes with perhaps the sweetest fruit of all: a nod to UK bass enthusiasts with a heady, speedy garage number. A word of warning, you might drop your mojito. Sicily-based, electro-contemporary, Monica Venturella steps up for Sex Tapes From Mars’ seventh outing, serving four acid-bleeding, delirious cuts.

The A1, ‘Talk Dirty 2 Me’ is a masterclass in rhythmic finesse, navigating the delicate balance between the syncopated shuffle of a two-step drum beat and the subterranean swelling of an early 00s reminiscent growling bass. The percussive intricacies propel the listener into a kinetic groove, while the bassline depth anchors the dance floor in an immersive, tactile low-end experience.

‘Don’t Think About It’ forays through bouncy, playful energy underscored by a distinctively corrupt acid line. The meticulous synth lines and off-kilter rhythms twist and turn with gleeful abandon, both twisted and slick.

On the flip, ‘Oh Shie’ displays a deranged, bumpy groove. It’s layers unfold with intricate detail, creating a textured sonic landscape that is masterfully controlled. The analog warmth and unpredictable modulations lend a raw, visceral edge that captivates and disorients in equal measure.

A fitting finale to the record, ‘Espionage’ begins with filmic, detuned vintage synth swells before dropping into nothing less than a seminal standout joyride in greezy waft. Verberating bleeps, clever pitch play and raunchy vocal stabs join the trip while the sonic palette grows in mania.
