Subterranean Odyssey returns with SO004, a release from the 2nd Slovenian producer on the label – Janko. His Zhutoklunac EP takes you on a journey through his style, with the A side kicking things off with Defnas – an ambient intro with dreamy vocals and a breakbeat which is very pleasing to the ears. Cleqtru carries you through to the B side with its sweeping pads and groovy bassline. The B side lightens the tone gradually with Massi which has a vocal that very appropriately asks you to “prepare for cyborg-isation” and Yecro ends the well thought-out release on a lighter note.

For the final time on Subterranean Odyssey, the stunning artwork was designed by Madame Fourmilion.

After following the infamous Alien Recordings imprint for many years, we had the honour of hosting Andy Panayi and Alec Stone aka A² in 2019.

Passion poured out of the pair and it soon became clear how their prolific label has remained relevant for over 20 years.

After Andy's tragic passing in 2020, we are honoured to present these precious cuts recorded in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Andy and Alec's A² project features alongside Andy and Rob Collman's Stopouts project. 

The upmost gratitude and respect goes out to Alec, Rob and all the Alien Recordings family for allowing us to publish this memory. RIP Andy ❤️

There was a strange atmosphere in the amphitheatre, onlookers were perplexed by what they'd seen, fascinated and intrigued. A rumble reverberated from the tall speakers in each corner, blasting noise down upon the gathering with a ferocious force. Soon they would all be under the hypnosis of the spell, the performance had begun.

There had been concerns that this would be too big, too grand and too ambitious to pull off but as the lights became dimmer and dimmer it was clear that the plan had worked.

Soon they would all be long gone.

Wolf Music are celebrating the work of Soul Purpose with a new EP made up of music recorded in the late nineties. Still sounding just as fresh and relevant today, these tracks have been given a well deserved lease of life.

a1: main-room energy radiated by arpeggios and chords, with a nostalgic nod to the evergreen Italia novanta sound. a 'New World’ is on the horizon.

a2: as 'Godspeed' takes the inner circle, hypnotic sequences infuse the journey with tension, while synthesisers intertwine creating idiosyncratic textures.

b1: like a 'Sunbeam' on a cloudy day, a synth line shines through, coming out of left field, weaving a narrative with melodies and harmonies.

b2: the ep reaches its crescendo concluding with 'Retrograde': an unwavering, euphoria-driven homecoming.
