Cosa Vostra strikes again! To end the year on a high note we welcome Central Intelligence (https://soundcloud.com/bilalppr), the synth wizard. We were closely following his musical journey and we are hyped to release his first solo EP in more than two years. After some recent VA appearances on labels such as Lumbago, Coqueto Records or Lunfardo, Central Intelligence is back in force with the mesmerizing Helter Skelter EP, a perfect balance between light & darkness. In its more uplifting moments, the atmosphere is expansive and euphoric. When it takes a darker turn, the tracks are brooding and intense and keep you on the edge of your seat, unfolding with surprises throughout. At all times, the EP has a propulsive energy that will have serious utility in any dance floor context.

Physical Education are back to present Occibel’s latest EP, Better Days. The four track release to transport you into Occibel’s timeless universe, with the treasure of an additional remix by Fantastic Man.

Opener Nothing So Blue sets the ball rolling with its hybrid of deep chords and glitchy synths spurring up the energy for the rest to come. Fantastic Man’s contribution of a fast paced remix leads the already bubbly track into even more of a capsule of energy. 

The B side keeps up the dynamism, as Passion from the Past’s grooves and etherial manifestations bounce you deeper into Occibel’s groovy house universe. Take This concludes the consistently infectious EP, steering further towards a world of pulsing rhythms and synths.

Berlin-based and London-raised Revivis heads fresh into 2024 with the second release on his own Santo Tomas imprint. Successfully launching the label in 2023, the rising British DJ and producer’s new body of work showcases his maturing and expanding taste in electronic sounds.

Rooted in house fundamentals, Dance State is aimed squarely for the dancefloor. Its four solid groovers draw inspiration from punchy '90s house, early acid-flavoured trance, and the driving, bouncy, golden-era sound of British progressive. 

A1’s "All Over" uses the late-night Levantine soundscapes of Berlin’s Neukölln district as its main melodic inspo, while "Queen of Chaos" on the B1 is a straight-up homage to euphoric '90s piano moments. B2’s "Sophia" playfully wrestles with the question of AI and musical creativity by sampling Sophia, an AI entity, as it reflects on its emotions. Finally, the EP’s A2 namesake is an acid-tinged redemptive roller built to soundtrack those deeper, dancefloor workout moments that Revivis’s sets have become known for.
