Solo violin and a field recording of wind, weather, windmill workings and resonances. Inspired by spending time inside Rottingdean windmill and on the meadows around it, thinking about all the years this beautiful, atmospheric building has stood on the hilltop looking out to sea.

Following last year's double-sell out run of introductory EP 'Honey, Milk and Blood', we're delighted to welcome the return of Shunkan. 

'Our Names' is the first material to emerge with her newly assembled full-band ethic, but the accessible intimacy that shone through on Marina Sakimoto's previous melodies are less than far removed. Blasting through the 2 minute mark by the skin of it's teeth, 'Our Names' is a toe tapping taster of greater things to come.

We've commissioned our illustrator pals Hats & Milk to put together a comic based on 'Our Names' and are releasing it as a super ltd screenprinted A6 comic, courtesy of our buddies at Broadside. The single is due out on April 13th, but you can download it right now for free. 

If you buy the comic you will also receive a download code for 2 demo tracks from Shunkan's debut album, due out later this year.
