Blut Hirn Schranke ist eine 2013 gegründete Band aus Düsseldorf.
Die Band ist dem Hardcore/Punk zuzuordnen und verwendet größtenteils deutschsprachige Texte. Nach der Gründung im Februar 2013 wurde im Juli des laufenden Jahres die erste EP -s/t- in Eigenregie veröffentlicht. Die Aufnahmen sind als 7-Zoll-Vinylschallplatte sowie als DIY CD-Version erhältlich gewesen.

Die Texte der fünf Songs sind sowohl in deutscher als auch in englischer Sprache verfasst. Der Song More than Music wurde bereits im März 2013 als Videoauskopplung veröffentlicht. Im März 2014 folgt die Aufnahme von zwei weiteren Songs

Mit den neuen Songs schlägt die Band eine eindeutigere Stilrichtung ein. Musikalisch wird es melodiöser und die Texte sollen von nun an ausschließlich in deutscher Sprache gehalten werden.
Nach einigen Besetzungswechseln in den Vorjahren konzentriert man sich 2015 vorerst darauf möglichst viele Konzerte zu spielen, um in der aktuellen Bandkonstellation zusammen zu wachsen.
Das gelingt so gut, dass man sich im Frühjahr 2016 erneut in den Rock or Die Studios bei Michael Czernicki einfindet, um das Debüt-Album aufzunehmen.
Das nach der Band benannte Album umfasst zwölf Titel und wurde im November 2016 über das Label Kidnap Music als Vinyl-LP veröffentlicht. Die auf 100 Stück limitierte Special Edition
ist schon vor dem Releasetag ausverkauft. Außerdem erstellte die Band eine DIY MC Version des Albums. Im Zeitraum Januar - April 2017 wird eine ca. 25 Konzerte umfassende Tour gespielt,
u.a. als Support für Pascow und Lygo.

Detroit singer/songwriter, Anna Burch, came to Polyvinyl’s attention the same way most valuable discoveries happen. By word of mouth. Fellow Michigan native and longtime Polyvinyl artist, Fred Thomas, sent Burch’s demos to Polyvinyl in the summer of 2017 with a simple note; “This is not a drill. You need to hear this.”

Turns out Thomas was right.

After learning the ins and outs of playing live and recording with various acts over the last several years, Burch found herself accumulating a growing amount of solo material. These songs, full of sincerity and undeniable depth, caught the ears of Collin Dupuis (Angel Olsen, The Black Keys) who mixed the tracks and helped develop the final product into what would become her debut full-length album, set to be released in early 2018.
